This is just a little FYI thread to cover a few things as well as a short intro.

My name is Kevin. I am the owner of Aloha Corals. This is a one man operation, though I'm trying to recruit my wife to help with customer service. Don't be surprised if you get a e-mail or PM response from my wife Sophie.

I am a very small coral farm located in Honolulu, HI. I am fully licensed by the State of Hawaii to collect, propagate, and distribute Hawaiian soft corals for a commercial purpose. According to the State I am the first and only outfit licensed to do so.

Aloha Corals is not a full time job for me, though I pride myself in customer service. I vow to answer any and all questions via PM or e-mail within 24 hours. If for some reason I have not (very rare) I apologize ahead of time. Please resend your inquiry if this happens. Please also keep in mind the time difference in Hawaii vs.. the mainland may make it difficult to get you an answer right away.

I have been a long time hobbyist and have been running salt water tanks since 1996. I have only become a "business" in September of 2008.

Some important info about Aloha Corals:

Shipping:

Overnight shipping is available through UPS. UPS is the only carrier that allows me to ship overnight anywhere in the mainland USA. I am able to get frags to the east coast in less than 24 hours. FedEx does allow me to overnight to the "Western States" (California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, & Utah)

2 day shipping is available through FedEx, but not honored under the Live Arrival Guarantee.

As mentioned, Aloha Corals is not my full time job. Upon ordering I will contact you and inform you of the next available shipping date. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are the normal days for overnight for us, but depending on schedules you may have to wait a day before shipment.

Free shipping is available with an order of $250 or more. I suggest you group orders when purchasing from Aloha Corals. Call you friends and save on shipping!

Overnight Shipping is a flat fee of $53.50.

Live Arrival Guarantee:


We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee on all coral that was received dead on arrival (DOA). To be eligible for Live Arrival Guarantee, the following guidelines MUST be followed:

• Livestock must be shipped using Next Day or Overnight delivery options.
• The order MUST be delivered successfully on the first attempt.
• Contact us immediately within 3 hours of delivery via sales@alohacorals.com , if you believe the product in question is in fact dead on arrival (DOA).
• Please provide clear digital photos of the product in question (within 3 hours), so that we may evaluate its status accurately. The more pictures you can provide, the more accurately we can discern the condition of the coral.
• Each dead on arrival (DOA) claim is reviewed individually, with special consideration given to the various factors and circumstances that can affect the livelihood of the coral.
• As with all corals, please keep in mind that slight discoloration and stress are completely normal after shipping. The coral should return to its natural appearance with proper care.
• All dead on arrival (DOA) claims will be given store credit or replacement if available.
• Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds. We can only credit the product, and do not offer refunds on shipping.

I just want you to try this link, because they will give you big savings for tour, and you will see all kind of corals, you can also ride in the helicopter. What do you think? Fantastic right? hawaii helicopter tours

none of those tours depart from my island... Helicopters crash almost as much as cars here. You won't catch me on one of those!
