Still waiting. (OK, I guess that's more than 10 characters long.) Does this mean the end of "yes" or "no" answers in posts? What about all the posts where people simply replied with a smilie?

These are all test messages to see if the email notifications come singly or in bunches and if they come today or the end of next week.

I am getting email notifications from Reef Central immediately but I am still waiting for email notifications from Reefland. When I get them, I will post the details like I did on the others for you.

As a point of comparison, here is an email notification I just received from RC:

I received that email notification 3 minutes after the post was made in the thread -- 1 min, 32 sec after it was sent by the board. My email notifications from Reefland have been running anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 days. (P.S. -- Make that 8 days!)

Still waiting. It is now more than 30 minutes and still no email notifications from Reefland. I am getting the notifications from that other board just fine, just not from Reefland. Usually when the do come in from Reefland, they come in bunches, which is why I posted to so many test threads to see if they would come separately or all together. (P.S. -- I guess the only notifications I will get are the ones telling me about replies from other people, not my own? Anyway, nothing yet.)

Are you still getting instant notifications of all of my posts? I think you are going to have to post to this test thread yourself some more if you want me to be able to report back to you on how long it takes for me to receive notification.

Boy that doesn't make any sense to me, they are coming in immediately for me. Are you sure you have Instant Notification selected when you post?

And your right, you will only get notification when other people reply to a post of yours.

My brother-in-law just got back from a fishing rodeo. He caught some ugly looking fish that weighed 24.9 lbs. and came in second. Somebody else caught one that weighed 25.0 lbs. and came in first. There was no trophy for second. My brother-in-law claims the other guy cheated by filling his fish up with water.

Still waiting. Got a little excited a minute ago but it was just another email notification from RC. That one took exactly 3 minutes to get to me after the post.

While waiting I learned that the Homeland Security boys are on the job protecting us from people who try to save parking spaces for their friends at the airport parking lots. I feel much safer now knowing that they're on the ball. I can't understand why this poor guy lost his job just because he pulled a gun and threated the guy who was saving the parking space.

I mean, didn't he know he was dealing with a secret air marshall type guy? No respect, as Rodney Dangerfield would say. The poor guy is just trying to do his job and arrest these two parking space terrorists and the real police show up and arrest him. And then he gets fired over it! I mean, what is this world coming to when you can't pull a gun on people who refuse to move on when you tell them to. http://msnbc.com/news/931725.asp

Shoulda put both of those parking space terrorists in jail indefinitely until we could figure out if they know anything about anything.

Did you know Strom Thurmond died Thursday? Who saw that coming? I mean he was only 100. Can't see why he didn't run again. They coulda just kept on running him back and forth in the ambulance between the hospital and the Capitol when they needed his vote. Now that little whipper snapper took over for good ole boy Strom in January. Can't stand him either. And he's a lot younger. Good grief, he might last another 6 decades. Or more!

So who writes Dubya's funeral speech for this one? I don't know who, but I know how: V E R Y carefully! :eek3:
