Hey, I'm curious-am I the only tree surgeon in this site? I bet I am, I've never met a treeman who reefed, 'cept me. Any professional climbers out there?

What exactly is a tree surgeon anyways? I'm assuming you don't turn to a nurse and say, "Chainsaw stat!"

Actually, I have said that many times, but not to a nurse. Medical surgeons have nurses-tree surgeons have 'groundman'.

I made a couple of poor business decisions, well mainly one,I took on a partner, that was a big mistake. And it was hard to compete with the big boys,I did'nt have a chipper or a dump truck,I hauled everything in my pick-up...lol! That took a lot of trips to the dump to get rid of the brush.Where the big boys could get the job done in say 2 hours, with me hauling everything in a pick-up it took me say 4 hours. But it was alot of fun and I did make some good money sometimes!! Minus the little old ladies that would get free work out of me

Yeah, a chipper is pretty much a necessity nowadays. Thats why I freelance climb-I don't have to worry about anything except my own gear. I let the companys I sub-out to worry about their equipment, and the headaches that come that. When I hit the ground(no pun intended) I head for the house, and take care of my reef! Later, bro.
