Weekend Work

I wanted to share some pictures of the work I did over the weekend which prevented me from going to MACNA. Actually this is only part of the work; the othe rpiece was a 10x12 barn style shed.

The deck was added on to our existing 10x12 deck. The addition was 8x12 to the left (if your facing the back of the house) to the existing deck; up 2 steps and then out to the pool. To the left of the pool where it extends out the furthest is 20' and from teh step to the pool at the closets point is 6'. The only thing left is to put up the pre-cut spindles for the railing.

This picture shows most of the new addition. To the left is where the deck extends another 20' from the existing deck, or 30' from the back door.

This picture shows the 20' length of the new deck and the 2 steps that span the entire length.

This picture shows our mean little dog and the addition that was added to the left of the existing deck. If you look close you can see where the old wood and the new wood meet.

A few bags of salt and corals and you'll have Hawaii in your back yard .

That's Gene! It sure was a job but well worth it. What you can't see in those pictures is the 10'x12' barn-style shed we also built which technically, is still being built. Yesterday I started shingling it, I have a bit more trim to add and then have to paint the trim. The spindles still had to be added for the rail in the pictures of the deck but that is done now.

Yeah he's a killer let me tell ya. Michelle and I have had him since around Mother's Day and he's been a pretty good dog although the past few days he hasn't wanted to mind very well. I mean when you let the dog out and when it's time to come in he'll just stand there and look at you. Michelle will confirm he's been a bit mopey.

I'll post some pics of the shed this weekend, it turned out really nice too.

He's only mopey because he's spoiled rotten!

Hi Gene!

I don't actually know how he would react to cats, he's never been around one! Besides, I could never give up my baby, I think sometimes Scott thinks I'd get rid of him before the dog!

Cute cats though!
