That's a nice shot! I tried to get one but it was much too cold out to mess with it.

Thanks Guys...

It wasn't TOO cold where I am... It was like 28-30 degrees tops!!!!

I must confess though that is actually 2 shots, 1 was like a 20 sec exposure to get the Tree and some Stars, the other was the moon at like 6 sec, also I shot the moon at 135mm and the tree closer to 50mm... when I loaded up the results, I couldn't resist bring the 2 together. The moon is actually there in the original, just alot smaller and moving, like the star streaks are. The Long streak you see is actually an airplane. I live pretty close to Flint Bishop airport!!

Mike,

I couldn't even notice that you stitched this...nice job!28-30 degrees is freezing in my opinion and my old bones can't stand that kind of treatment

Thanks... I'm much better at adding a single element to a picture then I am at putting together 2 images to make a landscape type image....

Next I want to learn how to add lighting effects in Photoshop. I'm even considering buying a MACINTOSH (yikes) just cause they run graphics programs better then a PC ( supposedly anyway I want to find a head to head comparison B4 I spend that much cash)

the picture looks much darker here at work, so I'll have to lighten it a tad so you can see the detail in the tree!!!

Mike

We went out and checked it out. Was pretty cool. Although it was to cloudy the other night to see the meteor shower...damn now we have to wait until like 2038 I think..

DOH!!!!!

I completely forgot about the meteor shower.... I think the Leonids are an Every year event though. The Earth passes through the "exhaust" or tail of a Comet around this time every year. Thats the meteor shower we see....

Thanks... The only part of the picture that is stiched is the MOON it self, I cut it out of another exposure and pasted it right on top of the moon in the final image...

Pretty cool what photoshop can do...
