I didnt acually do the removal myself. However I have noticed that on my daily virus scan sheet it no longer shows that my comp is contaminated with it. I dunno. Everything seems to be working fine. From what I read on he web trojans allow people to access your comp and get vital information that maybe stored on your hard drive. I have been thinking about just backing up all my personal files and totally reformating the HD and then installing XP Proff.

most of the trogans allow a hacker to gain control of your computer at a later date. More than likely they would use it for Spamming email to millions of other net users and you would feel the repercussions. If you have not gotten rid of it try going to Symantec.com and doing their online scan. No telling what you might come up with.

I am no security expert by any means but If you need some help in the computer virus/firewall/etc. area please let me know. I have a lot of experience with home networks and I have never had a virus or trogan on my computer.
