what would you do with the $$$$$$$$
hey all,
i have a 25 gal in the wall setup that i am wanting to "upgrade" the lighting on. i currently have a 2x65 PC set up on it but am wanting more light for better viewing and of course growth. dimensions are 24x12x16. i cant decide between MH or a stronger PC setup. MH would probably be some sort of 175W setup with PC's. the PC setup i am looking at would be a retro kit from hellolights with 4x55 W. i will not be able to purchase a chiller and there is air ductwork directly above the tank so i cant really "hang" anything. my biggest concern is that i probably wont be living in this house for more than 3 more years max and seeing that the tank is in the wall it will probably have to stay. naturally i will then seize the opportunity to upgrade to a larger tank and dont want to get stuck with expensive MH lighing that wont be of use. any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. i currently have a nice mixed stock of LPS, rics, zoos, and my favorite blastos. all are fine but i may want to try hardy forms of SPS (just a few as there is not much realestate left in the tank). what lighting should i use and should i do the upgrade or am i just wasting time and money??? |

i have a bigger tank!!! i agree the size is not ideal but it is all the space i had in the wall without going overboard.plus i already had the tank so it was no money out of pocket. it looks awesome though. it is really just for "show" and is not my entire focus, that is why i am inquiring what others think of spending more money on it!

Check out a thread by JB NY, referenced somewhere here, I think a 175 Watt CV 12K would look very nice, and not cost a ton!!!
