putting pics on the internet
What all does a person need to do this and how is it done? I was wanting to put some things on E-bay and thought pics would help but have no clue as to what is actually required. Thanks.

E-bay it is free to add a picture for the first one anyway. It is built into the steps to sell an item. All you need is a digital camera, even a camera phone will work. Make the image 480x320 or somewhere around that and you are all set. I know thats not much of an explanation but once you get into the set-up at E-bay it guides you very well...

How do you get the pics from the camera to the computer?

If you have a digital camera, you should be able to upload the image files to your computer directly, for example through a USB cable.
For a film camera, you would need a scanner to create image files from the actual prints. HTH
