Anyone doing freshwater tanks?
Well I know this is reefland but anyone doing any freshie stuff? I recently bought a fw system (very low budget) for my girlfriend and have considered getting a small tank up and running. I was thinking of getting a 20L and doing a semi aggressive planted tank. But what are the lighting specifications for fw plants? Whats the best filtration method? I know a fair amount of stuff about sw but I feel rather new when it comes to fw. Anyone care to lend a hand?

Lighting demands can be close to a reef when it comes to plants. You can go with two 55 w 10,000k pc's over a 20 long. You have to inject or produce or dose some sort of co2. You should also use some sort of fertalizer and iron products. Seachem has a bunch of good stuff. As a matter of fact I have 2 co2 ceeating items for sale if you are interested. You utilize a carbon block and it grows plants very well. Pm me if interested. I will even trade for frags .
