Sorta silly question...
I suppose it should be obvious, but I really don't know, sooooo...
Does this site get any kind of kickback from amazon for ordering books thru here vs. ordering them thru amazon directly? I went to amazon today, looking at some books I'd like to buy,, I've added them to my cart, but haven't finalized the order yet cuz I'm still thinking, and deciding if I have that much money to burn on books right now... Anyway, if this site gets something for it, I'll back that cart out and order thru here when I am ready.

Amazon.com pays a small percentage to any affiliated website that links to Amazon's website. Whenever you see a link to Amazon on any website, even an individual's website, and you click on it to enter Amazon's site, the originating website receives a small commission on your purchase.
If you click on one of the Amazon links on Reefland, you will notice in the url address that is displayed on your computer the word "reeflandcom" and an identification number as part of the address. And I can assure you that Scott has it set up so that the board receives a little tata whenever anyone buys something going through Reefland since Scott works for Amazon.com. ![]()

Thanks for the excellent reply Ninong, it is right one!
The links to books on Amazon.com are what they call affiliate links. If you click on that link and purchase that specific product, Reefland.com gets a small percentage of purchase price for that item. If you purchase other items in the same order, Reefland.com gets a percentage of the price of those items as well, albeit a bit smaller than the direct link. Thanks for considering us while shopping at Amazon! |

No there would be no need of doing that. Amazon.com's system is smart enough to recognize that you came from here, placed other items that are listed here and we get the same percentage.
