Hurricane Frances Surviors....

Anybody hear from Ricks Reef, ORA, Logical Reef, or anyone else from the area since Frances hit? Wondering if they were able to weather the hurricane without major damage?

Rocky is the only one that has posted since the Hurricane and he didn't mention anything about it really. I am pretty sure he left the state before Frances came through.

alot of folks are still struggling with no power. My family is in the daytona area and i believe they just got power back yesterday or today.

Im sure our MIA friends will return once things are settled a bit more.

Power just came back.
We were down 5 days
Now we just sit back and wait for Ivan.

I gave up and drove to South Carolina to find a generator.

Some folks haven't had power rerstored from the first storm 3 weeks ago!!!

5 bucks says Florida Power and Light gets broken up like Ma Bell after this fiasco!!

Wow! Five days is a long time to be without power this time of the year.

It looks like Ivan will spare you according to the latest projections.

The 5 p.m. EDT advisory gives the maximum sustained winds for extremely dangerous Category 5 Hurricane Ivan as 165 mph with gusts up to 200 mph!!!

Good 2 hear from ya Rick!

So sorry to hear about the livestock loss! Chalk it up, us florida boys WILL figure a hurricane proof or freindly greenhouse method thats cheap and effective and running automatic generators triggered by the power outages.

You know I have 2 generators, both need minor work and you are welcome to either of them.

Sorry to hear about the losses.
Looks like Logical Reefer lost it all.
Charles left me with out power for 8 days. I removed all the xenia and lost about 8 1" tortusas part of a Walt Smith and my Chesterfield.
Frances I went with out power for 3 days lost the rest of the Walt Smith
I feel lucky.
Rocky give Anthony a call if you hav'nt already.

Or you could do what a lot of people down here do. Every time a hurricane is predicted to hit us, they run down to Home Depot and buy a brand new generator. They don't bother to set it up unless they absolutely have to. If the storm misses us, they return it the next day for a full refund. When we bought our generator last year the guy at Home Depot told us that story. He said some of the same people have done it more than once.

We're waiting Ivan out right now. We have lots of filled 5-gal gas cans and the generator is ready to go. We just hope we don't get flood waters or lose the roof off the house.

& heartache.
