Been missing lately but I got big news....
Sorry guys Ive been real busy lately with school but I try and peak on here and see how things are going as much as possible. Just thought id let ya know whats going on w/ me down here in (or up here) in Illinois..... I recently got accepted to a position this week to go up to Mattawan, MI to help do research on a threatened species of fish, Lake Sturgeon. Ill be working w/ Michigan DNR and MSU. Ive had my eye on this position for a while now and finally got accepted. Im really excited about it. This beast is going to be quite the site... they weigh around 130lbs and dont mate until they are 25yrs of age. Ill be running a stream side fish hatchery as well as every kind of capturing of these beauties known to man they said so Im extremely excited about it and wanted to share w/ my good friends at reefland. Also, last week i went on spring break w/ 100 of my closest friends in the bahamas and went snorkeling and it was my first time out of the midwest and to an ocean so i was absolutely amazed. saw all kinds of tangs, triggers, pipefish, parrots and snappers....absolutely amazing. i have to say thanks to all you people because w/o this site.... i would have never started sw fish keeping, reef keeping, i would have never ran my colleges reef tanks and i would have never gotten the relationships with my professors that gave me such great references to get this job...so Reeflands members, and you too MR.
