If I where to sell my tank...

Oceanic 72 Bow(undrilled) w/ stand, canopy, Icecap 440 (I think) w/ 2 48's and 1 36. Remora pro skimmer. @175 LBS LR, 100 LBS LS, couple easy to keep softies. No fish. What do you think I should be able to get for it? I was thinking I might be able to get $400 - $500 maybe a little more.

Reason I ask is my wife wants me to put wood flooring in our house. If we do and I am sure we will because some how she always seems to get what she wants Anyway... WHEN I DO as I should say this will be like the 4th time I have had to tear the tank down and rebuild in like 4-5 years. I think the 3 previous times is the reason I have had so much trouble with it ever since. I am begining to get very discouraged and I just don't put the time into it anymore like I used too.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks,
SHOG

No one is answering because you can't leave the hobby.

You should be able to get that amount easy.

INDEED! On both counts. About 3.5 years ago, when I bought all my stuff (from a store going out of business, although they didn't tell me that at the time ) I paid about $575 for a 55 G, a Mag pump, standard overflows (tank not drilled) and a wet-dry filter, and a crappy skimmer (SeaClone). No corals, no rock.

Tell the Mrs she can have the wood everywhere EXCEPT where the tank is!

that is something i said to her also. i told her i would cut the carpet all the way around the stand and then put the wood around it. we would have enough left over so if we ever did move i would be able to scab in the spot that was there when i moved the tank.

I think that is a VERY fair price. If you wanted to get more you could break it all down and piece it out....but that can be such a PITA! Man I hate to see you get out of it, little shogster needs some biology entertainment while he grows up. I understand about the boss though bro
