Arrow Crime wave hits Laramie, Wyoming!

Two young men arrested! If convicted, they could each face up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

What did they do?

They violated Wyoming obscenity laws, which state that anyone who “produces or reproduces obscene material with the intent of disseminating it” is GUILTY as hell and shall be locked up immediately. (Does not apply to anything said by the Vice President of the United States on the floor of the Senate!)

What obscene material did they intend to disseminate?

They built "an anatomically correct snow man," much to the horror of the good citizens of Laramie!

Good to see that the police are actually catching dangerous criminals huh? Geez!

I can understand someone being offended but it shouldn't be used by the government as a method of controlling people. For those that haven't noticed, the U.S.A. is no longer a free country. You can't say anything that might offend someone. You can't "build" anything that might offend someone.

So I guess in Wyoming if you have an e-mail that is comprised of explicit material and you e-mail it to a friend then you can go to jail? It's just another example of taxation without representation in my book.

Just"ice" ...um...prevails!!!!

Thank God they were stopped in time.

Their exhibitionist behavior could lead to immoral cheerleading.

On a serious note regarding obsenity and law, our neighbors were telling us about a new trend. Teenage drivers that have these nifty DVD players in their cars are driving around with "provacative" movies playing for everyone around them to see. Sounds like there should definitely be a law against that...

It might even lead to a career as a standup comic telling jokes about jerking off horses: http://politicalhumor.about.com/b/a/166531.htm#more

As I understand it (and my brother has one in his car) the screens are flip down screens that hang from the ceiling of the car and therefore is viewable to anyone beside of behind the car playing the inappropriate video.

yes the U.S.A. is no longer a free country. our goverment has slowly been taking our rights away. now they are trying to force the catholic religious beliefs on us.i really really think the U.S. will be in a civil war with in the next hundred years. our elections results everywhere in all levels is getting more like a 49%-51% votes to win. that means that half of americans strongly disagree with eachother. and half thus never gets a say. hell america all come about because people were being forced to share the mainstream beliefs of the catholics.cops can now do anything they want even strip search you and put you in jail because they think you are terrorist. America will even bomb a country because they think something. we are no longer considered innocent. and free speech yeah right. i think just because i just said the word terrorist i am now being investigated. i can not even buy a old car to restore and leave it in my driveway on the property i own.(geuss i really dont own it since the gov. can tell me what i can and cannt put in my driveway.)they even will not let me paint my house the colors i might want. but now instead of saying what we can not do they are starting to tell us what to do. cannt do this, as history has show, with out some fighting. and if 50% of the people are on different sides all the time(religous issue will do this) then war. like what happend in peru. i am hearing more and more people in california wanting to break form the union. california by itself would be the 4th largest economy in the world. civil war i dont know about that in my life time but as history has shown us the world map will change.

Reefland, you're right. I've been there

I think we have a state law covering that here.
I'll check.

But I have had that happen to me before coming back from a Florida game. Luckily no kids in the car.

Perverted FSU fans I guess...

However,
With our new improved boffo castle doctrine on steroids law Jebzelbub just signed...i'd be very leery of approaching any teenagers "in a place where they have a right to be" to turn off their porn because I might scare them ...and they could legally kill me in front of my family.
