Hi everyone - its nice to be back to Reefland after almost a year in Hiatis. Alot had happened that cause me to be away - typically employment problems - finally after almost a year being umemployed and blacklisted due to security problems (thanks to the United States Department of Defense and their screw-ups) I'm finanlly getting back on my feet.
Which means I again turn my attention back to things and hobby's I love such as this. What truely amazed me after min amount of funds to dedicate to my Reef system that I actually did not lose anything. Damsels and Clown have really impressed me with their ability to live under less than optimum conditions and especially my feather dusters. With the finances getting back in order I can get back to doing my regular water changes and proprogating my reef system again. Ahh that will be nice hopefully soon I will have photos uploaded for everone to see. I throughly look forward to dialoging with fellow marine keepers |

Due to storms like Hurricanes everything I do will have to be built up off of floors (equipment) due to flooding that I have experienced in the past. I already have plenty of electrical power 110/220 volts for the equipment. What I need to start doing is start to put a picture in my head of what I want the final room to look like, size do I use the whole garage or section part of it off. Do I combine the fish room into a music room/fishroom (which is what I am leaning into). I have some very good connections for designing tanks and displays but when I was in the store last week I was thinking about trying and do a DIY setup and see how it went. The flooring is 6' concrete with fibreglass mixed in so I'm not worried about any weight problems. My plans are to have a variety from reef, fish only seperated by sections pacific, carribean so on and so forth. I have had these plans for in my head for over 30 years now. Glad to see you getting back into the swing of things. Just make sure you have your camera tuned up so we can get some progress pics from you. We'll be looking forward to hearing about the progress.
