Talking One of my other projects... A Tear Drop Trailer...

If you are like me and need to have something going on all the time than you will appreciate my Tear Drop project. This thing will make an excellent upgrade from a tent and at a fraction of the cost of a pop-up or motor home.... For more pics check out my post at: http://www.mikenchell.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3098 Oh, you may need to sign in to view the photos. Here is a recent pic of my design and progress.

Thanks Rocky!

This project has been keeping me away from the boards lately. My goal was to have it done by the end of the month but the lack of funds may push it back until the end of July. Like my 375 project I am keeping a log, right now I have about $750 invested without the cost of the trailer which sell for about $250. I could have done it for much less but I purchased the A/C for it as well as a LCD TV/DVD combo. Those two items alone are almost $300. So this project will probably run me about $1500 or so. Some other amenities will include a roof mounted fan, interior dome light and reading lights, a 4" thick matress as well as a car amplifier and speakers.... Definitely more comfortable than sleeping on the ground...

My guess is it is for those out of town R/C car races! Very Cool!

I remember a few races that I slept in the car for, others we were fortunate enough to get a red light district type sleezo motel!

Hey Guys!

Well I have been quite busy lately so this project has taken a back seat. I have purchased a small DVD/LCD screen for the interior. I have also pruchased a small refridgerator that will sit in back next to the A/C facing outward. I did manage to get some trimming done and insuate the rest of the back end of the camper. I have aslo routed out groves for the wiring. If I have a break from my college work I am going to make every effort to finish it up over the next couple of months.
