Arrow More of the same from BushCo:

Why do they bother keeping scientists on the payroll if they're going to rewrite all of their scientific studies to fit their own agenda? Sort of like they did with the prewar intel on WMD in Iraq.

Last week we learned that the administration official who altered a government report on global warming had quietly resigned. I'm sure he was offered a much higher paying job in the energy industry.

Now we learn that other administration officials are altering other scientific studies to suit their own purposes.

"This is a whitewash. They took all of our science and reversed it 180 degrees," said Erick Campbell, a former BLM state biologist in Nevada and a 30-year bureau employee who retired this year. He was the author of sections of the report pertaining to the effect on wildlife and threatened and endangered species.

"They rewrote everything," Campbell said in an interview this week. "It's a crime."

That's not unexpected. They're been altering scientific studies ever since Bush got into the White House in January 2001. The Interior Department changes everything before publication and the FDA is a complete joke. The administration's FDA head goes against the unanimous recommendations of his board whenever the issue is one that is important to the wingnuts on the religious right.

Instead of just cutting back funding to all these governmental scientific studies (which they have been doing ever since they got in), let's just abolish all scientific research until these criminals are out of office. We could save a lot of money.

The British press is finally picking up on the details of this story:

The documents show that Washington officials:

· Removed all reference to the fact that climate change is a 'serious threat to human health and to ecosystems';

· Deleted any suggestion that global warming has already started;

· Expunged any suggestion that human activity was to blame for climate change.

Among the sentences removed was the following: 'Unless urgent action is taken, there will be a growing risk of adverse effects on economic development, human health and the natural environment, and of irreversible long-term changes to our climate and oceans.' Another section erased by the White House adds: 'Our world is warming. Climate change is a serious threat that has the potential to affect every part of the globe. And we know that ... mankind's activities are contributing to this warming. This is an issue we must address urgently.'

They're talking about a report prepared for the G8 meeting but it's based on a scientific report produced by our own government that was altered by an administration official who was a former oil industry lobbyist. He resigned a week or so ago and is now employed by a major U.S. oil company.

One thing that most normal people overlook is that these guys are weird. Very weird! There is no need to conserve energy if the rapture is going to happen very soon. There is no need to worry about wiping out other species because the Bible specifically gave man dominion over them. So that means we can do whatever we want with them. So let's abolish the endangered species act. And let's open up all the national parks to oil drilling. Sorry, make that "energy exploration."

Sounds like you voted against Bush and you won't be happy till your party is back into the white house.

Good Luck, with the political platform that DNC has taken it will be the party in the minority for many years to come. It really is a shame it took to alienating so many people do to its extreme biasness.
