Anyone been to Scottland?
Just curious if you have been what you liked about it and what all you did. Im going there end of July and will spend 10 days there we are staying in Edinburgh. Im going fishing, seeing the military tatoo, checking out some castles, going falconing, going horseback riding, and Im sure my wife has other things planned too. Just wandering if there is anything I missed?

Scuba,
My best friend is married to a Brit. They lived in the UK the first 10 years they were married -- 5 of them in Edinburgh (he taught at the University). Check out when the Edinburgh Fringe Festival will take place -- I think it is in July. The whole city is taken over by street performers, jugglers, etc. It's billed as the world's largest street festival! There are tons of art galleries and museums. There is also a bunch of historical architectural stuff, if you are into that kind of thing. Take a trip to Glasgow if you can and check out some of the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh -- Scotland's greatest architect -- very cool Art Nouveau stuff. I'm sure you won't run out of things to do!!! Don't forget to go to the pubs! ![]() |

Have a nice trip, Rocky!
![]() I've never been to Scotland but I understand that Tom DeLay likes to play golf there at St. Andrews. ![]()
