HaHa! That's hilarious. He actually said "bullsh!t" on the air and then stormed off the set.

Speaking of your girlfriend, Katherine Harris, did you see where she's blaming the "media" for making her look bad during the 2000 election? She says the pictures were retouched to make her makeup look bad. I saw her on television. Do they retouch "pictures" on TV now? She had more lift lines than Heavenly Valley and almost as much new powder.

Now that she's a member of Congress AND a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate (but WITHOUT the support of her former pals, the Bush Bros.), she's had a little "work" done on her face. Either that, or her official picture on her congressional website is seriously retouched. Ana has before and after pics on her site, just scroll down a little: http://www.wonkette.com/

I did a google search and came up with this typical "before" pic:

Compare that picture with her official website picture taken FIVE YEARS LATER: http://harris.house.gov/

Extreme makeover? Or just clever photo retouching?

Did you see where Sen. Arlen Specter is really very, very angry with Novak: http://www.theunionleader.com/articl...?article=58686

And I understand CNN has canned Novak for his little diva performance. Maybe he'll go on Tucker Carlson's show? I understand the ratings for that turkey are lower than Novak's so-called integrity. The guy is a low-life, scumbag traitor. He outed Valerie Plame Wilson to do the bidding of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named even though he admits that the CIA asked him not to and warned him that it would "cause difficulties."

Holy Cow Arlen!
Headshot.

That op-ed came out today?
If so, no wonder he flipped out on live television.

Yes.

Maybe he flipped out because he knew what Ed and James were saving for last. They wanted to grill him about his little "explanation" column. The one he wrote a few days ago to defend his "integrity." He has steadfastly refused to answer any questions about the Plame affair and that's what they were going to ask him about. Like Dubya, he keeps insisting that he will be happy to discuss everything after the investigation is complete and the special prosecutor presents his case, if any.

Yep, it's now official. CNN has suspended Novak indefinitely: http://www.kotv.com/main/home/storie...age=1&id=87923

Hmmm...I predict the "Chivalry" defense

Bobbo was merely protesting the mean spirited attack on Katherine "the face that launched a thousand tomatoes" Harris.

Gotta treat women with respect, right Bobby?

Nope. I'm wrong...

Apparently the red book in front of Ed Henry was "the who's who in America".

Now, I wonder why Novak would haul a$$ when he saw that book?

Maybe it's because he claims that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named told him that "Wilson's wife is apparently a WMD specialist at the agency" and that anyone could learn her name by looking up her husband's bio in Who's Who?

Or...

it was a Bible and Novak burned his hand touching it.

P.S. Novak told "Scabbers".
"He who must not be named" has the trick knee.

Trust me on this one!

I haven't read any of her books but you're messing me up on this because both of them are sources that cannot be named and right now, it's the Numero Dos dude who's getting all the ink. Numero Uno is too busy getting his pacemaker retuned and Numero Tres is upset that they don't consult him when they make important policy decisions, like changing the name of the War on Terror to an acronym (GSAVE) that just doesn't sound manly enough.

BTW, I found this photo of Numero Dos attending a party at the Army Navy Club in DC back in June 2003. That would have been the month before Novak's column outing Valerie Plame Wilson. Can you read the lapel button?

I'M A SOURCE, NOT A TARGET

Schrocat,

Evidently Novak was upset that James Carville and Ed Henry were getting into the Valerie Plame outing affair. He was talking to Ed Henry when he yelled "Just let it go!" as he stormed off the set and marched straight down to the 9th. floor to complain to the CNN brass about the way he was being treated.

Ed Henry had a copy of the 2003 edition of Who's Who on his desk with a very obvious post-it note bookmarking the entry for Joseph Wilson and Ed Henry has said that he warned Novak in advance of the program that they would be asking him about that topic. Novak usually insists that he will not discuss that as a condition of any appearance. It's an area that he has declared off-limits, unless he's writing about it himself in one of his columns to defend his "journalistic integrity."

What integrity? The guy has no integrity. He was asked by the CIA to NOT mention anything about Valerie Plame. He was also told by the CIA that it would be incorrect to write that she had authorized her husband's trip to Africa. He was told that mentioning her name in any way would "cause difficulties." But he did it anyway. We now know that one of his high-level administration sources was Karl Novak. Who was the other source? Was it Scooter Libby? Could it have been Libby's boss? Someone with a lot of influence convinced Novak to ignore the CIA's request and spin the story the way his administration pals wanted him to.

The guy is nothing more than an administration toady. He does their bidding to keep up his special relationship just as Armstrong Williams did their bidding in return for $250,000.

P.S. -- Apropos nothing, I'll stick this link in here. The dude on the right nibbling on his friend's tie is the current chairman of the College Republicans. (A possible link to this thread is that Karl Rove was a former chairman of the College Republicans.) You can tell he's a young Republican by his Ralph Lauren Polo shirt, to say nothing of his typical young Republican boorish behavior in public: http://www.truthcaucus.com/index.php?id=73 What a bunch of party animals! If I remember correctly, they're expected to stop the partying and become "mature" once they reach the tender age of 40. At least that's how it worked for Dubya.

Article in today's New York Times discusses the incident in 1992 when Karl Rove was fired from Poppy Bush's campaign for leaking damaging information to Bob Novak: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/08/06/po...gewanted=print

Just how extreme was the makeover? Check out the video of her appearance on Fox:
Crooks and Liars has the video.

Notice how she keeps standing in profile and thrusting her chest forward. Are those new, too?

P.S. -- She says that her campaign will be about the issues, not appearances. When asked by Colmes if she has Jeb's backing, she said she expects she will have it once she is the nominee. She also said that she spoke to him just last week to inform him of her candidacy and he wished her well. She's heard nothing negative since then. I guess that means she heard a lot negative before that.

I think she was being picked on by a FoxNews film crew who should have known better.
After looking through her pics on the senate site I don't think she's had any major work done to the areas in question...maybe lifts.

Schrocat,

Did you watch the video clip? Does she always sound like that? Not exactly Olympia Snow or Diane Feinstein.

Colmes kept hammering her on the fact that the Bush Bros. really don't want her in this race. She had to admit that she doesn't have Jeb's backing for the primary but she expects that he will support her once she's the Republican nominee. Well, gosh, what a shocker. Does anyone expect him to support Senator Nelson, the Democrat?

Looks like she could get the Republican nomination by default because they seem to be having a hard time finding a credible candidate willing to enter this race, especially now that Katherine Harris and her money-making campaign machine are in it. Maybe they're waiting for her to stumble first?

She sure has made the most of those hanging chads.

No. She sounded more Marsha Brady than usual, She's attempting M. Monroe.

Actually, since Schaivo, nobody on either side gives a damn what Jeb endorses. That's a fact.

Rick Renzi would agree.
