Baylor parent and Woodway resident Larry Northern said he decided to support Lynch (the Republican candidate for sheriff) because he was 'honest, straight-shooting and moral.' Northern said Lynch's favorite saying was, 'Don't do crime because you're going to do the time.'









Larry, who described himself as "a real Christian" upon his arrest, did the patriotic thing by hooking up a section of pipe with a chain to the back of his pickup truck and then driving over several hundred of the white memorial crosses and American flags at Cindy Sheehan's anti-war encampment in Crawford, Texas.

What is it about these Texas yahoos and hooking up chains to the back of their pickup trucks?

Remember Larry Mattlage, the guy who lives near Camp Casey in Crawford who fired his shotgun in the air a couple of times the other day to get the attention of the folks camped out across the road from his property at Camp Casey? He told the media folks dove season was approaching and he was just warming up. He got the immediate attention of the Secret Service and the local sheriff's deputies but it's legal to shoot a shotgun on your property there, so there was nothing they could do except ask him if he had taken his medication yet that day.

Anyway... Camp Casey will now be relocating to a new spot much closer to Bush's ranch thanks to a generous offer from one of Bush's neighbors:

“A neighbor of President Bush’s has offered us his land,” the source said. “It’s got plenty of acreage for us, it’s private land, we would have legal permission to be on it, it’s much closer to the ranch — in fact it’s across the street from his (Bush’s) church.”

The neighbor who made the offer said: “I’m a veteran, I support what you all are doing and I want to offer you my land.”

So, where's the "family feud" you mentioned in the title? The veteran offering them the use of his land is Fred Mattlage, cousin to shotgun-toting Larry Mattlage.
