I have been working out almost everyday now @ the gym ever since I quit smoking I got on a diet and spending the money from cigs on better food and the gym basically. I found that I had gained alot of weight and would work out but just couldnt get the energy I wanted to really make a dent on my weight loss .....until I found a pretty kewl drink its called Nitric Force..it taste like grape juice but has a product called araganine in it which actually expands the blood vessels and has caffeine in it....man what a rush....back about 7-8 yrs ago I used to jog 1-3 miles non stop w/out any probs but until I started this new drink I couldnt pass over .5 mile....Now since the aid of this drink I am back to 2 miles....Im no where near the shape I was in 7-8 yrs ago but man I wish I had this stuff back then! Im used to taking guarana, ginseng, chromium picolanate, but this blows that stuff away! And its safe and non habit forming....was like a dream come true. Anyone else take any of these power drinks and can comment on them? Oh yeah Im paying $2.50 for about a 12oz. bottle of this stuff but yes I think its worth it but would like to find it in bulk for cheaper if anyone knows where to get it.

Rocky, you met me and have an idea what I'm like but if I drink anything like that I turn into some sort of psycho energy drink spaz. My body just isn't designed to handle that sort of thing. I get shakes and won't shut up etc etc. I quit smoking also but still can't gain any weight. I think I'm doomed to be 155 for the rest of my life.

Hi Rocky,

I've never personally tried the drink, but am familiar with it, and its contents. It has about 200mg of Caffeine (190mg I think), and about 3 grams of L-Arginine.

The caffeine is about equivalent to 1 tablet of Vivarin (a caffeine pill sold in most pharmacies, like the one I work in). The Arginine, an amino acid, can be bought separately at a vitamin store, GNC, etc.

These 2 ingredients probably give the "boost" so to speak. If you bought them individually you could probably get a month's supply for maybe 10-15 bucks or so. Of course, they wouldn't have the nice grape flavor , and you could argue a faster rate of absorption from the liquid vs. tablet/capsule form.

As a side note, L-Arginine is used by our bodies to create Nitric Oxide (NO), a blood vessel dialator. This could theoretically lead to an interaction with other prescription NO enhancers out there such as Isosorbide Dinitrate, Nitroglycerine (AKA Nitrostat), and yes, Viagra .
