Suck it up! your not in Kansas any more toto Im sure you have heard the saying that is one of the prices we pay for living in florida....Im still very hard pressed to leave this state probably to deal with snow storms if I ever do. Im curious as to what kind of prediction they are casting for the hurricane 2006 season already though cuz they predicted an active season this year and have been pretty much dead on.

This season was the most active season on record. My nephew in Ft. Lauderdale got more hurricanes than we did because besides Katrina and Rita, he also got Wilma. All we got was Katrina and Rita. With Katrina we got 110 mph winds because the center of the eye went in about 50 miles to the east of us and with Rita all we got was 50 mph winds because it went in way to the west of us but it pounded us with TS-force winds for about three days!

I'm glad the cold weather is finally here so that we can forget about hurricanes until next year.

Well, right this minute it's only 64 F http://weather.msn.com/local.aspx?we...ns=wc:USLA0379

...but it's supposed to get down to 45 F tonight! That's pretty cold, don't you think?

And then later this week it's supposed to get down to 35 F. That's almost freezing.

Now they're forecasting that TS Gamma will miss Florida altogether: http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cg...i171353S53.DTL

Yay! Gamma passed us by... by the way, it does get VERY cold here in south Florida...frigid even! It gets so cold that sometimes there's even a light frost in the outlying suburban areas! (BBBRRRRRR!!!!)
