USC or Texas

O.K. people, let's see who you all like! I'm an SC grad so it's a little obvious who I like. I think SC wins by at least 2 touchdowns. They have too much firepower.

I'm not a huge college football enthusiast but I like Texas by 7.

Bush is going to be hard to stop on the USC side.

USC by more than alot of people think. I don't think that Texas has faced anybody this year with the firepower that USC has.

I say Texas, I don't think USC has faced anyone that can play DEFENSE like Texas does. Gotta remember I am a Big 10 fan and we all play defense up here! Plus Vince is a very dangerous QB. Granted Reggie Bush is amazing, and I am sure he will get his yards, but they will be harder to get against a fast Texas defense! I think it is going to be tight, just like last years Texas/Michigan game...

If I remember correctly, that was one heck of a game!!!! Probably the best of the bowl season last year.
I just wish that either team didn't have to lay off for a month. All the momentum that a team has or had, is gone. You just gotta love the BCS!!!!!

Yup, it doesn't get any better then that game last year, well if MICHIGAN would have won...

I HATE the BCS, if MICHIGAN hadn't have beaten Penn State this year they too would have gone undefeated. I am sure they and others would say the Joe Pa deserves a shot at USC/Texas for the national title. I don't think PSU is on the same level as Texas or USC this year, but still it would have caused confusion. I take all the conference champs and have a PLAYOFF! How simple is that? You can still call them BOWL games, you can still save the National champ game till new years... Heck you could even still play all the other games for the non champs....

I think if they took the top 16 teams in the country, as the 1AA does, you would have 8 bowl games one weekend, 4 the next, 2 then 1 for all the marbles. That is 15 bowls, and we don't have to watch the annual toilet bowl game that occurs yearly.
The BCS is all about money, it's kind of funny that these kids make all this money for their respective schools, yet they don't even come close to getting a piece of the pie until they graduate .

Remember, Texas almost lost to A&M earlier in the year. SC beat up on more top 20 teams than Texas did. I know, I know, what about the Notre Dame game, Gary!

Hey, a little push in the back never hurts!!!! I think the Notre Dame game was the best college game I have seen in a long, long time. You also should mention the Fresno St. game if you wanna talk offense!!!

Ya but how many of those top 20 teams belonged there? Remember Utah? We should play for the national title.... Ya right thye went and got BLOWN out in there bowl game. I don't care what the records say, teams like MI, Iowa, Wisconsin, FSU, certainly USC, OU, Texas, Miami, etc will always be better teams then the Cinderella's that show up from time to time, I mean really who wins in a game of an undefeated MAC team vs almost any Big 10 school, well except Indiana or Illinois.... Big 10 almost every time, but the MAC school goes in ranked higher? How is that right? I is because people want to see undefeated records and not someone that has lost...

You got a point about rankings!!! But then again, how do they rank teams? It is all subjective, and opinions are like, well, you know.
Do you break them up into little mini-conferences?
I agree that your big name schools will always be better, just for the simple fact of the draw of a big name school. I kind of like the cinderella factor, look at the NCAA basketball tournament. Granted, there aren't many small schools making the final 4, but it sure as hell is exciting sometimes!!

Karl Rove was ecstatic yesterday when someone called to tell him that the latest job approval numbers for "The President" had soared.

Oops! Wrong president.

Thats why we can eliminate subjectivity with a playoff system but we all know that wont happen in division 1A unfortunately.

Actually, except for the late-night ads placed by the late-night trolls, we haven't had a thread disappear in several years.

P.S. -- That doesn't apply to all the pics that were lost in one of our infamous software upgrades.
