    Weather...

How strange can weather be. Just got back to my desk after we were cleared from a tornado warning...IN JANUARY! I guess stranger things have happened.

That's one thing I don't miss about living in the midwest, give or take a few miles. Let's see, a warning is where they have actually sighted a funnel cloud, right?

We've been in the mid-'70's for the past three days and then today it got up to 83! In fact, I just checked and it's 81 right now this late in the day: http://weather.msn.com/local.aspx?we...ns=wc:USLA0379

Either a funnel cloud has been sighted or dopler radat has indicated one. There was a touch down in this case though.

    Ninong,
It was 72 here today, but obviously there is unseasonablly warm for KY in January.

Living in South Florida, we have certainly had our fair share of severe weather this year. Was just watching tropical storm Zeta out there now. A tropical system in January? Never saw that before.

I read that global warming will melt ice caps which will make the northern sea stratified with fresher (less dense) water on top. This will prevent warm upwellings from the south which will result in colder winters in Europe... Or something.

    Yes, congratulations!

I'll swap with ya! All of Florida and much of southern Louisiana will be under water. :eek3:
