Does anyone else think this year's medals look like CD-ROM's hanging around their necks?

You know, Michelle and I thought the same thing. It's interesting that the Winter Olympics Board has free reign on the design of their medals however the Summer Games has pretty stringent guidelines on their designs.

I didn't know that they played by different rules with medal designs. This design is awful! It was a topic of discussion on The Bob and Tom Show this morning... Those guys are GREAT! I'll bet Ninong and Tom would be great friends!

The donut-like hole in the middle is supposed to be symbolic of the open spaces in the many piazzas (piazzi??) in and around Torino.....
I think they look a little goofy myself. |
