Jac-Ewww-zzi Anyone?

Guess it's time to trade in my swimming suit for a haz-mat suit.

my spa water and pool water are the same.

man, I hope that makes a difference...and that my wife doesn't read that article.

if she does, I might be opening a skate park in the back yard.

I'm wondering about the chloride/bromide levels in the tubs they tested... if you don't dis-infect, all you get is "infect"....

Mine is the same, too... and you know if you don't keep the chlorine level adequate it turns green real quick.... I doubt that bacteria can grow with the level of chlorine to kill the algae....

Now's your chance. Show her the article and get a REALLY BIG OUTSIDE SALTWATER TANK!

I'm still eyeing my Mother-in-law's pool for a possible sea otter habitat. She already has two cats; I'm trying to convince her that sea otters are in fact, cats that love to swim.

never use a spa at a hotel or the 'Y'. if you smell chlorine, there's not enough in there and the cooties survive. many bacterias and algaes can survive chlorine if they manage to get established from low chlorine levels. they form a protective barrier that chlorine can't penetrate. that's why brushing the pool/spa is recommended after shocking to break thru the barriers.
