Frontpage for Mac?
Okay, I have made a switch to Apple computers, so far it ROCKS! (Mac Pro) My only concern is my business website, I used Frontpage (FP) to build it, and maintain it as well ( Perfect Pix Photography ). I am looking for something similar to FP for Mac, but have not found it yet. I downloaded a trial version of Adobe's GoLive, but that looks well uh.... Not photographer friendly. It may work well for people that are fluent in HTML, but there HAS to be something for a photographer turned webmaster... (NOT HARDLY in my case)
Anyway, any help would be GREATLY appreciated! |

No they don't. ;-)
You need "Bootcamp" and a legal copy of Windaz and you're good to go - back where you started... MacOS X is basically Un*x so you should be able to find something to suit in the open source world. I don't have a Mac to try - but you might try looking to see if you can get Nvu or something like that.

Thanks guys. I do actually have a legal copy of Windows XP, running on my PC, but I am trying to get away from Mr. Gates. This latest HD failure almost cost me 60,000 pictures, and it did cost me hundreds of .doc and .xls files. Worst thing was the HD is fine physically, it was some silly IRQ settings that made the drive go "unallocated".
My new Mac is WAY FASTER then any PC I have had, but with FOUR processing cores, each @ 2.66 GHz it should be right? I will look for Dreamweaver, but I think I am going to force myself to learn GoLive, as it comes with the Adobe Creative suite that I will be buying soon. (Geesh I am actually going to BUY software, what is wrong with me???) |
