Congratulations!!! Marriage is a beautiful thing (despite however I joke to the contrary). It's an exciting adventure you're starting on! I'll be married five years on Dec 29th and I can tell you truthfully that despite all the work and all the more difficult times... at the end of the day my heart still leaps when my husband walks through the door and there's no one else I could ever love more or ever be closer to.

Thank you all so much for your support and wishes. I'm on my honeymoon right now so I can't post much but I'll be home around Christmas with some pics and what not.

I wish my husband and I had had a honeymoon. But we were both broke students at the time.

Our honeymoon was a long weekend that we managed to spend in a tent by the lake 31 years ago( you see, I still remember it... ) Good thing we had kind friends that let us use it... They also lend us two great danes, for protection , that were bigger than I was at the time.

My wife and I went on a cruise! We went from Miami, to Key West, to Cozumel, and had an absolute BALL! We even went SCUBA diving, with all of 45 minutes of instruction!

It was a great time, and sadly it was the last time we have been anywhere tropical! With a 2 year old girl and 5 year old boy it is hard to get away like that again!

Wow, that sounds really romantic and sweet. Shortly after our wedding, my husband and I just went back to the east Baltimore ghetto where he was living at the time. Great danes don't give you much protection out there, but the bullet proof walls in the Burger King sure make things feel cosy. Falling asleep to the sound of gun shots and ambulance sirens, my husband was like "well, just look at it this way, now that we're married, if I'm stabbed or shot, as my wife you're the beneficiary of my life insurance policy." Ah, so romantic...

My husband and I did something like this in the Keys (not for our honeymoon though). We had a "class" in the pool, then went out to sea. But the weather was so bad (just our luck, the ONLY rainy/stormy day of the entire year), we hardly did any diving.

Actually, it's kinda funny, remembering all these travel stories. If y'all knew how my husband travels, it's quite a wild adventure. We once saw virtually all of Peru in 10 days. No one believes me when I say that, but if you knew G, you'd understand how it's possible. lol
