What do you think about GE turning saltwater into freshwater?
I saw this commercial a few times. I was wondering if after a while would the saltwaters salinity go up and what the water would actually taste like?

It's not new technology. A lot of it's done by RO just like you do for your aquarium water. Drink some of the RO and you'll know what it tastes like. If you've ever been on a cruise ship you know what it tastes like already. Raising the salinity globably isn't an issue since water gets cycled, but the high salinity waste from some methods is a problem in localized areas.
