Well, I thought I had seen just about everything when I read the story about that Utah GOP official who proposed a resolution stating that Satan was using illegal immigrants to take over America through something called a "self invasion," but next week the Canadian Parliament is scheduled to take up a petition presented by M.P. Mike Lake proposing that Big Foot be added to their endangered species law.

"Therefore, the petitioners request the House of Commons to establish immediate, comprehensive legislation to affect immediate protection of Bigfoot," says the petition signed by almost 500 of Lake's constituents in Edmonton, Alberta.

Mr. Lake says he has proof that Big Foot exists and he thinks the Canadian government should do everything in their power to protect it. Yeah, right, as soon as they get through protecting the baby harp seals.

What about a bill to preserve crop circles? If Mr. Lake's constituents are big on Big Foot, I'm sure they're into crop circles, too.

Those nitpicking liberals have protested that your conservative prime minister is wasting taxpayers' money on an image consultant, Michelle Muntean, who travels with him to advise him on his image.

Mr. Harper has pointed out that Ms Muntean's salary is paid by the Conservative Party, so now the Liberals are trying to make a big deal out of the revelation that Ms Muntean is a self-described psychic.

Are you primarily English-speaking or French-speaking? Do you think Quebec should secede?

I'm primarily English but I do speak French (my mom is French) and so does my husband (his dad is also French) but he's also primarily English, he was raised in Lake George NY, I was raised in Montreal and both of us have French last names

I don't think Quebec should separate, no specific reason, I just think it would cause more problems than it would solve

The amount of $$ wasted on this issue is really out of this world! Did you know we have sign "police"?

No, I wasn't dissing the Canadian government as much as I was dissing the lunatic who wants to add Big Foot to your endangered species list.
