Wow those are beauties, I've always been fasinated by snakes. I've had small ones for pets but never the big ones. Good luck with those.

Woohoo Eric!!! Our male leopard looks VERY similar! I was reading and saw a pic of one that looks like mine and yours and they referred to it as a tangerine leopard gecko. It was just sort of interesting. FYI Beautiful gecko. Congrats!

Thanks! I really am so glad that I got her! She puts my male to shame! ( Shhh! Dont tell him I said that ) Plus he's in the middle of a shed right now so his colors look awful. She is quiet bigger than my male, outweighing him by about 10 grams I beleive. I got a good deal on her too! Only $45 , plus $16 for shipping. Most adult high-yellow's go for a little higher. I believe that tangerines have a more orange color to them. My male has attempted mating with her already! However I am not sure if it was successfull. She's been bred once this season and still may drop a few eggs from that. Leo's can retain sperm for a good while

I had some emeralds before didn't have any problem with shedding at the fish farm I had real good humidtiy. Drier air they can have problems shedding. They seem to get constipated, but a shower of warm water gets things moving in more ways than one. If they are wild caught make sure they are treated for parasites. When I was in Guyana I was told they could found on rare occasions crossing the "road" in the morning after rain storms. That would be a neat road crusing find. Nice snake if you don't mind an animal that just sits on a branch and looks pretty. Emeralds are a snake that you should also say this little pray, "If you are going to bite, please not in the face." I think the only other non-poisonous snake that has teeth that long are elephant trunk or wart snake (Acrochordus sp.).
