Re: Appalachian State?

Wow, that is quite the casualty list. Maybe he can suit up a couple of ball boys, and a couple of the guys that carry the chains or something.

Re: Appalachian State?

Wow! Eli's having a very good game so far. Giants are ahead of the Patriots, 21-16 at the half.

I can't believe they're serious about taking Brady out??? Right now it's 28-16, so the Patriots are down by 12.

Re: Appalachian State?

It was a game of two halves. The Giants looked good in the first half but that was about it.

I like both teams, so I'm not upset that the Patriots won.

Re: Appalachian State?

As of right now, the Patriots look like just about the best NFL team ever. They need to go all the way to close the deal. If they do, it will be hard to claim that they aren't the best team ever.

Re: Appalachian State?

I'm looking forward to the Sugar Bowl tomorrow. I would love to see Hawaii win it but that may be just wishful thinking. If they don't win it, I hope they don't get blown out 41-14 like LSU destroyed Notre Dame in last year's Sugar Bowl. The SEC put some serious hurt on their bowl opponents last year -- Florida beat Michigan by the same score, 41-14.

I expect LSU to beat Ohio State in the BCS Championship game on Jan. 7th but anything could happen. Ohio State's bowl record against SEC teams is not all that impressive: 0-8.

Re: Appalachian State?

I'm just praying for a miracle tomorrow....Michigan beating Florida in the Capital One Bowl. Even though I know my boys won't win...I'm still under the delusion that it's possible.

At least the loss will look good on the new full HDTV.

Re: Appalachian State?

Like I told Poseidon, another Michigan fan, look on the bright side: you get to watch your team and Tim Tebow without having to switch channels during commercials to see what Tebow's up to.

P.S. -- Anything's possible, just ask Appalachian State.

Re: Appalachian State?

Here's another point in Michigan's favor: The SEC is due for a loss. It's bound to happen sooner or later. They can't keep on beating up on the rest of the country like this year in and year out. It's not fair, right?

So far in this season's bowl games, the SEC is 4-0.

Liberty Bowl: Miss. St. beat UCF, 10-3
Independence Bowl: Alabama beat Colorado, 30-24.
Music City Bowl: Kentucky beat Florida St., 35-28
Chick-fil-A Bowl: Auburn beat Clemson, 23-20

SEC teams that are due for a loss, statistically speaking:

Outback Bowl: Tennessee vs. Wisconsin
Cotton Bowl: Arkansas vs. Missouri
Capital One Bowl: Florida vs. Michigan
Sugar Bowl: Georgia vs. Hawaii
BCS Championship: LSU vs. Ohio State

Hey.... That was OHIO STATE that got smoked by Florida last year.... We were beat by...... Someone else.

I like UW in the Outback Bowl, the big red W is undefeated against the SEC! Where as OSU is just plain defeated against the SEC.

I have to say I will be pulling for OSU (OUCH THAT HURTS) today....

Yeah, I don't know why I said Michigan!

Well, at least I had the score right. Florida beat OSU, 41-14, and LSU beat Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl, 41-14.

Right now Tennessee is ahead of Wisconsin, 14-7. As far as OSU is concerned, they have never beaten an SEC team in a post-season bowl game and I hope their perfect record is still intact after January 7th.

Good luck! (Yeah, like I really mean that.)

Re: Appalachian State?

Damn, I got alot of catching up to do here:slap::slap::slap:

I am just about hoping the Pats do go 19-0. The way the 1972 Dolphins are acting, they deserve to get their noses rubbed in it. The only team that I really see that has a chance to beat them is Jacksonville, because they are so physical, I don't think the Colts can do it, but you never know???

Wisc. is a hurting unit right now, their QB is taking more hits than Google!!!!!

I am also hoping that Hawaii can beat Georgia, but I may be living on another planet. If it is a score fest, maybe they have a chance.

Oh, by the way, it is 3 degrees and sunny here in Columbia Falls. It is really a beautiful day, just colder than all get out.

It's brilliant sunshine and 54F down here right now but we're supposed to get down to 29F tonight. That's what passes for a "hard freeze" down here. They put out special warnings telling people to prepare for extremely cold temperatures.

Re: Appalachian State?

Extremely cold? WOW! I wear a sweatshirt for a 30 degree day.... It is when the themo. drops below 20 that I break out a coat, if the wind is blowing it may even be a WINTER coat.

My WOLVERINES are WINNING!!!! YAY!!! I'll take 21-14 going into the second half, and we are getting after Tebow with some pressure!!!! If we could only account for that darn #1.... HE IS FAST!!!!

Oh... I woke up to 8" of fresh HEAVY SNOW!!! It was great. (NOT!)
