Re: Appalachian State?
So far in this season's bowl games, the SEC is 6-2.
Liberty Bowl: Miss. St. beat UCF, 10-3 Independence Bowl: Alabama beat Colorado, 30-24. Music City Bowl: Kentucky beat Florida St., 35-28 Chick-fil-A Bowl: Auburn beat Clemson, 23-20 Outback Bowl: Tennessee beat Wisconsin, 21-17 Cotton Bowl: Arkansas lost to Missouri, 7-38. Capital One Bowl: Florida lost to Michigan, 35-41. Sugar Bowl: Georgia beat Hawaii, 41-10. BCS Championship: LSU vs. Ohio State (Ohio State's record against the SEC in bowl games is 0-8.) The only SEC team that was really embarrassed was Arkansas. The Sugar Bowl was another blowout, just like last year when LSU destroyed Notre Dame, 41-14. The people who said that Georgia's defense would shut down Colt Brennan were absolutely correct. Colt would have been better off if Hawaii hadn't been invited to a major bowl game. Hawaii would have had a better shot against a much weaker team in one of the early bowls. The Sugar Bowl, because of its time slot, was viewed by virtually every NFL general manager and coach in the country. For many of them, that was the first and only time they watched Colt Brennan play.

Les Miles' dream of beating Ohio State is finally realized. I'm sure that will make him very happy but probably not quite as happy as knowing that his salary for 2008 is now at least $3.5 million!

Ohio State players took a photo of the BCS trophy to show the folks back home:

I hate to state the obvious, but that's two years straight that the Big 10 Champion has been demolished by the SEC Champion in the BCS Championship.

Re: Appalachian State?
Ouch...
![]() Not that I'm any Ohio State fan (FARRRRRRR from it!), but....I did want the Big Ten to come out victorious. I know it was a long shot, but I didn't think it was a longer shot than my team (Michigan) winning! ![]() Oh well...at least Michigan won. ![]()

Anyone watching Packers vs. Seahawks game?
All I can say is all hail Brett Favre... The man is playing out of his mind today.

Re: Appalachian State?
Awwww crap...they came back? I only got to see part of the first quarter and it was 14-0 Hawks. I was thrilled.
Sorry, but I'm a Lions fan, so there is no way I can support the Packers. (ya, I feel a flame job comin' after that one. )

But you got to love Brett playing the way he does this year. The whole team is so young and talented I think we'll see them playing well for quite some time. I'd say no way Brett is retiring anytime soon... ![]()

Re: Appalachian State?
Didn't he kind of hint that he was gonna play another year here this week? I have to agree with you, his enthusiasm this year reminds me of when they won the super bowl. It is nice to see a guy play for the love of the game, isn't it?
