As of right now, he intends to play next year; but the past two years he kept saying that he was leaning towards retiring and then changed his mind and decided to come back so we don't pay much attention to what he says anymore. I have a feeling he will come back next year. He has two years left on his contract so he might play in 2009 and 2010 if he keeps playing as well as he has this year.

Right now everybody will be pulling for the Giants to beat the Cowboys tomorrow so that the NFC championship game will be in Green Bay.

LOL!!! I'm sure she's banned from the stadium! There's probably a TRO against her for 10 miles of the stadium!

Re: Appalachian State?

He took her to Cabo San Lucas for a few days during the bye-week, so maybe he's exhausted?

He can take it to Hawaii with him because that's where he'll be playing next, in the Pro Bowl.

Re: Appalachian State?

So, who's gonna be in the Super Bowl? New England and Green Bay or San Diego and New York? New England and New York? San Diego and Green Bay?

I expect it will probably be the Patriots and the Packers but you never know.

You know what, I kind of felt sorry watching TO cry in defending his q-back. I mean I was elated that Giants won but after I saw that clip of TO coming in defence of the Tony Romo I realized that maybe I judged TO too harshly previously. Did he really matured that much since leaving Philly? I sure hope so.

I hate predictions, to be honest. I predicted that Dallas will probably prevail in yesterday's game but I was wrong... So yes, Packs beat down on Giants in their regular season meeting but Giants are definately different team now. Heck, Eli is a different q-back now and I don;t have to tell you about the defense. So, we shal see...

Re: Appalachian State?

Yes, the sight of T.O. actually taking up for his quarterback was a bit strange to say the least. When he was in San Francisco, all he wanted to do was knock Jeff Garcia and the coaching staff for not throwing to him enough. Even if it were true, it's not something you talk about with the press. And he was constantly pulling juvenile stunts to gain attention, such as when he danced on the Dallas star in mid-field at Texas stadium after a touchdown. That was totally without class.

And then there was the Sharpie pen incident and the videotape stunt he pulled when Dallas played the Patriots and the time when he did situps in his driveway and called the press over to videotape it for the evening news.

Maybe he was feeling sorry for Romo because Romo wasn't the only one who had an off day?

Eli has been very good in his last three games. In fact, his QB rating has been well above 100 in the last three games. I believe it was 131 in the Dallas game. I think the Giants' most impressive game lately was their almost-win over the Patriots.

In the game against Dallas, everything fell into place for the Giants. Change a few penalty calls and it could have been a different outcome. Romo did have an off day but he wasn't the only one.

I'm just glad that Brett doesn't have to travel to Dallas. He has never won in Dallas. I hope the Packers win but even if they lose, then at least Eli is going to the Super Bowl and maybe people will stop picking on him. Everybody expected him to be at least as good as Peyton. Eli was considered a better high school quarterback than Peyton, and that's according to both Archie and Peyton. Both Peyton and Eli had outstanding college careers but Eli has been slow getting started in the NFL. And everybody was picking on Peyton for not winning the big games before he finally won the Super Bowl last year. Remember how they all ragged on John Elway for not winning a Super Bowl and then he won two of them to close out his career.

It is definately their best effort during regular season, and I think Eli's best game to date that made him better. I mean he didn;t drop his head after the only one mistake he made, he actually came out and threw another td pass to close out the game... I think the team sort of rallied behind him, again...

Peyton didn;t have his best game against the bolts, I don;t think, so he gets to watch Eli for a change...

On a side note, I think everyone knew TO is emotional guy, but not many expected him to say what he said to the media. I too think that they were to anfair to judge Romo on his vacation time taking.
As far as officials calling the game, I thought they may have cost Giants win over the Pats with their stupid call against Amani Toomer on a side line. He never touched anyone but was called for a personal foul on the guy that tripped and fell over after running his mouth and backing away...
So, I don't want to think that Giants didn't win that game agains Dallas and were simply lucky. I thought they played well enough to win and that Dallas just didn;t come up with the goods after long inactivity.

Re: Appalachian State?

Well, let it be known that New York football Giants are in the Super Bowl...

PS. It was one heck of a game but I think the better team won tonight. Giants outplayed the Packers on defense and Eli was simply brilliant.

Yes, the Giants definitely outplayed the Packers. It was a close game but the better team won. I'm sad that Brett didn't get to play in another Super Bowl in the twilight of his career but there's always next year. I'm pretty sure he'll be back.

I'm happy for Eli and his family. Not many parents can say that their son played in the Super Bowl two years in a row and that it was a different son each time.

Re: Appalachian State?

Tom Brady is wearing an orthopedic boot on his right foot.

P.S. -- Now they're saying that he went out last night wearing just regular shoes on both feet.

Re: Appalachian State?

I wouldn't put too much into it, George. I think last time he was in the Super Bowl he had some sort of health problem as well, and he won...

I'm almost positive Brady will be at, or near 100% when the wistle blows and game begins. It will take more than limping to stop him from getting possible his fourth ring.

I've heard Giants defensive end (Tuck) saying that they pay no attention to any of that information about Tom Brady and will prepare for him as if he is a 100%.
Smart idea, I think.

Re: Appalachian State?

Ya, you always seem to see these types of "magical injuries" creep up around this time. You're hoping the other team won't count on you playing and won't prepare for you. Then you are magically healed and play an awesome game as if you were 100%

Re: Appalachian State?

Now they're saying that Brady "practiced with a slight limp" yesterday. It doesn't seem to be moving the line much, it's New England -12 right now. That's a little tighter than where it opened but not much.
