Very funny. We don't play them until Oct. 25. We have to play Tim Tebow on Oct. 11. We're a little weak at QB right now. They showed parts of an ESPN interview with Ryan Perrilloux. He's at Jacksonville State now. He said Coach Miles was right to let him go and he has no hard feelings. He blames himself and not LSU.

Re: Appalachian State?

What else is he gonna say to ESPN???????????

Or maybe he decided it was in his best interest to finally grab some responsibilty.
You never know, maybe you have a diamond in the rough with this QB??

He was being little humble Ryan again. He did the same thing every time he was suspended at LSU.

Maybe. He played on Harvard's junior varsity, then he went to Chile on a one-year Mormon mission. Then he hurt his knee seven months into his mission playing soccer, so he returned home. He was supposed to return to Harvard but he was talked into coming to LSU by his former coach who went to LSU.

We also have a true freshman, Jarrett Lee, who looks promising. He got some playing time, too.

P.S. -- One good thing about devout Mormons: they don't stay out late getting drunk and starting fights.

P.P.S. -- Now that Les Miles was offered the Michigan job and turned it down, the LSU fans have finally accepted him. They always figured that he was just waiting for the Michigan job to open up.

Looks like they scored two TDs in the fourth quarter but the 2-pt conversion attempt on the second TD failed. That would have tied the score if it had been good. Not a good start to the season losing to Utah.

Re: Appalachian State?

Those scores were from Utah mistakes, UM got its collective ar$$ handed to it to it today, no excuses.

This may be a long year...

Florida is looking VERY good this year. We have to play Auburn on the road two weeks before we play Tebow. So we have to get past them first.

I assume you realize that it's a noon kickoff in Gainesville and you have taken that into consideration in scheduling your wedding so that your guests will be able to watch the game at the reception, assuming it's a morning wedding.

Re: Appalachian State?

FOX Sports CFB Power Rankings

1. Ohio State

Let's see where they are after yesterday's total domination humiliation by USC. I'd like to know how the hell Ohio State could be ranked No. 1 after last season's humilitating loss in the BCS Bowl? Which was their second blown championship shot in a row. What are they now in bowl games against the SEC? Oh, yeah, now I remember: 0-9.
Pretty soon they will be 0-10 and then they will have earned their title of the Big Ten.
At least Ohio State won't have to worry about blowing another BCS Bowl this season. Maybe they'll end up in some no-name bowl against some second tier SEC team?

I can think of several SEC teams that could demolish Ohio State right now, including LSU, Florida and Georgia, to name just the most obvious possibilities. I would include Alabama but I'm not so sure how long that will last. I hesitate to include Auburn after yesterday's 3-2 win over Mississippi State. What was that, a soccer match? (P.S. -- Today's new AP Poll has FIVE SEC teams in the top 10: Georgia, Florida, LSU, Auburn and Alabama. The Coaches Poll has Alabama ranked 13th, which may be more correct.)

Notre Dame beat a Big Ten team yesterday. I forgot which one, but they had blue uniforms. Six turnovers? Six? In one game? The nuns must have been praying very hard.

P.S. -- The AP dropped Ohio State to 13th and the Coaches dropped them to 14th. Let's see where the new CFB Power Ranking has them.

Re: Appalachian State?

It was UGLY!!!

14-0 FOUR MINUTES INTO THE GAME!!! That was a pitiful display by the nations winningest football program. The wolverines looked AWFUL! The Irish did not look much better, I think they were forced into the win, if we didn't spot them 21 points, then we could have won that game, how bad is that?

Re: Appalachian State?

This Is Outrageous!

I was watching the Florida-Ole Miss game on CBS. The score was tied 24-24 with about 12 minutes left in the fourth quarter when, at exactly 2:30 p.m. CDT, CBS switched to the Auburn-Tennessee game.

Not a word of explanation either. And the announcers at the Auburn-Tennessee game didn't say a word about the Florida game. Nothing.

I tried both the Baton Rouge and the New Orleans CBS channels in both HD and the old style and no Tebow at all. Boy am I pissed.

So now I just checked the scores on FOX online and it looks like Ole Miss just scored and the score is now Ole Miss 31, Florida 24, with five minutes left.

Hey, wait a minute! The score just changed again. It's now Ole Miss 31, Florida 30 with just over three minutes left in the game. The PAT failed!!!!! OMG! Florida might lose this game.

I am so pissed at CBS. This reminds me of the Heidi game. That was when the network dropped an Oakland Raiders game at the two minute warning to start showing the movie Heidi. Oakland scored twice in the final two minutes to win the game. That was quite some time ago but I'm still pissed about that, too. I'm easily pissed!

P.S. -- What about USC losing to Oregon State????? Is this going to be upset week?

P.P.S. -- Okay, Florida has possession with 2:05 left in the game on the Florida 22. Let's see if Tebow can pull this one out.

P.P.P.S. -- First and 10 on the Ole Miss 41 with 1:22 left. Ole Miss time out. I'm still pissed.

Fourth and one on Ole Miss 32. 55 seconds left.

OMG! Tebow rush for one yard failed. Ole Miss has possession

Ole Miss just won the game, 31-30.

Oh, well. I guess I should look on the bright side and say that this helps LSU because both USC and Florida lost but I really wanted to see Florida undefeated when they play LSU on Oct. 11th. And then I would have liked to see LSU win by one with 3 seconds left in the game, or something like that.

Now Florida will be pissed and out for blood. Lemme see who they play next week. Looks like they play Arkansas there. Poor Arkansas. Then they play LSU the following week at home. Maybe Arkansas will put the hurts on them and soften them up a little?

Re: Appalachian State?

Settle down there George!!!

I too remember the Heidi game. It seems to me that the networks decide who watches what, and when. Go online to ESPN.COM, and you can get a play by play there. Granted you ain't watchin it, but it's close.

So much for USC, that didn't hurt at all to see that.
