Good luck my friend. It's a nice feeling to be a homeowner. Helps out come tax time too.

If there is anything you dont understand....Dont sign!! Get a lawyer to look over the papers! I bought a HUD home and was supposed to get 6% interest rates and I got the house at a steal! but when I went to the closing table they handed me a stack of papers to sign....it took me about 45 minutes till I found out that they where gonna try to suck 12% interest out of me instead Just be careful what you are signing! Good Luck....Renting IMO just gets you in a deeper hole! Buying a home is one of the best investments you can make

Congrats Bioman.

My wife and I are still looking, we've already lost a couple of houses. The market here is insanely fast and inflated. Houses sell the day they're listed, often for above the list price. We've made offers above list price and still lost out. It's really discouraging.

Congats Bioman!!! My wife and I close on our new home on July 17. We are very excited about it as well. We are not looking forward to the task of moving our tanks, but it will be worth it once the move is completed. Good luck with your closing. Maybe you will be ableto take advantage of the interest rate drop that was announced yesterday.

Thanks a lot verybody. I am now a homeowner...

I have the keys on my ring right now....

Be Patient Penguin, you'll get a house, It'll be the right one when you get it. I had a feeling about this house when I saw it online before I ever walked into it. Still have some work to do to the house, but all of the money is in escrow so no worries there except for the contractors. And moving the tanks. WOOHOO!!!!!
