Crazy reports out of Las Vegas that O.J. and some of his "crew," ripped off a sports memorabilia dealer in a Las Vegas hotel room at gunpoint.

Sources say OJ Simpson and five other men barged into a hotel room last night, and took various memorabilia once owned by Simpson -- at gunpoint!

Yep, sounds like another pay-per-view TV event for sure; maybe even another book deal.

O.J. Simpson has just been arrested and is in custody.

LVPD just picked up O.J. Simpson ten minutes ago and took him into custody. If they charge him with armed robbery, that would be serious!

The man detained Saturday night was arrested on two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and burglarly with a deadly weapon, Nichols said. Two firearms were seized.

Simpson was arrested shortly after 11 a.m., Capt. James Dillon said.

The charges against Simpson will include robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and burglary with a firearm, all felonies, Dillon said. More charges could be brought against him, he said.

LAS VEGAS - A second co-defendant in the O.J. Simpson armed robbery case told a judge Monday that he will plead guilty to a reduced charge and testify against Simpson and others in the alleged hotel room theft of sports collectibles from two memorabilia dealers.

Walter Alexander, 46, of Mesa, Ariz., told the judge he will plead guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery, a felony, in the alleged hotel room theft of sports collectibles from two memorabilia dealers.

Alexander could face between one and six years in prison.

Co-defendant: Guns were O.J.'s idea!

O.J. Simpson asked two companions to bring guns when they and three other men went to a Las Vegas hotel room to retrieve memorabilia the former star NFL running back claims was stolen and about to be sold by two collectors, one of the men told TODAY in an exclusive interview.

“To my recollection there were two individuals with guns. One was brandished, the other had it on his person,” Charles “Chuck” Cashmore told TODAY co-host Matt Lauer on Tuesday.

Cashmore, a day laborer, says that he got involved in the Sept. 13 incident totally by happenstance.

“I did not know Mr. Simpson before that evening,” he said. “A mutual friend of ours asked me if I wanted to meet the gentleman. I just had a cocktail with him and it went from there.”

Cashmore said he had no idea what was in store when Simpson asked him to go along to the Palace Station Hotel & Casino.

“I was just asked to help a friend get some of his stuff back,” he said.

A third co-defendant has copped a plea and will testify against O.J.

LAS VEGAS - A man accused of pulling a gun as O.J. Simpson and others confronted two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel room told a judge Monday that he’ll accept a plea deal and testify against Simpson and two other men.

Michael McClinton, 49, of Las Vegas, became the third man to agree to plead guilty to reduced charges in the case.

He told Justice of the Peace Joe Bonaventure he will plead guilty to robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. He could receive probation or up to 11 years in prison.

According to police reports, McClinton brought two guns at Simpson’s request to a Sept. 13 confrontation with collectibles dealers Bruce Fromong and Alfred Beardsley. McClinton wielded one gun and acted like a police officer, according to others in the hotel room.

P.S. -- What if all these guys plead guilty and end up doing time but O.J. goes to trial and gets off? They still have to find 12 people willing to find him guilty of something.
