Yanasina,
I know exactly what you mean. My mom turned me on to LOTR when I was in the 4th grade. I've read it many times since. When Ralph Bakshi produced the animated Lord of the Rings I was so excited. I saw his movie "Wizards" and thought he'd be a good candidate to put LOTR to film. Boy was I disappointed!! It was horrible! However, film technology has advanced enough to where I think an excellent job can be done. I really think it'll be a "keeper" ![]()

I didn't even watch the animated version because I figured it wouldn't do. I'll probably have to watch this movie, and if it doesn't fit my version I'll have to treat it like canned beans. You know what I mean: they are pretty good as long as you think of them as a different vegetable and don't compare them to the fresh ones.
