Dangit!!! My Car :(

My car....my pride and joy.....has been tarnished....what once was a beauty to the eye's and ears is no longer so beautiful....i just hit the biggest stinking racoon alive.....well it was alive......seriously this thing was 100lbs if it was a 1lb! it has to be a record.....it was pitch black out so when i got out to inspect damage i didnt really see much especially because my lights were on and i couldnt see any damage to the body.....but when i got home i put it up in the shop and realized the bast@rd took off my front plate! after the initial plowing of the coon it went under my car and caused a little destruction grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr this will take me all week to try and fix on my own then another couple days to get a mechanic to fix whatever i cant/whatever i break in my attempt to fix it. i guess the old saying goes....."when it rains it pours!"

My brother hit a skunk when his new car was only 2 months old. I swear I could still smell it when he traded the car in two years later.

Man I hate it when that happens. I got a 2fer a couple years ago. 1st ground hog steps infront of my truck, and the second followed just a couple feet behind. Sort of felt like speedbumps Nio truck damage, but can you say roadpizza! . ...Mike

well today i went back to see if i could find the coon and it was already scraped up by someone which is odd because it was a back road not like it was a major highway or nothing. but i managed to find my plate/plate holder, and i already put that bad boy back on today. but it ripped a big plastic sheet which was used for protection solely right off so i am going to spend tomorrow trying to fix that up there was a little flap that was dragging when i'd slow down that was what was making the sound. there was a chip in the front ground affects but a little touch up paint took care of that and i dont have to worry about it rusting because the ground affects are made of that fiber glass stuff so it worked out i guess. still not to fond of coons but it happens.

I hold the record in NJ for 5 deer in one year with 2 VWs, an '87 Golf that was totaled after the 2nd and a '92 GTi that I finally traded in after the 5th kill.

wow that is impressive! however i think these past few days animals have just been attracted to my car....since july 3 2001 i have hit 2 squirrels, a FAT racoon, 2 rabits and 3 birds........and every time i get that same feeling .....you know the one where you just get the chills and you get a tingling in your spine.... makes you feel just horrible....Jason Alexander aka George Costanza once made the statement "I thought there was a deal!" this is referring to the pigeon which he accidentally walked over or ran over one of the two either way you get the jist of it.....there should be a deal.....when we drive they wait.....when we pass then they scurry across the roads.....poor guys dont have a chance.
