    Back from vacation!!

    Hi everyone!

I just got back from a 3 week road trip. Started off here in Ft Lauderdale and went to Seneca SC, the Biltmore in Asheville NC, The Blue Ridge Pkwy, Greensboro NC, Baltimore MD (I didn't care much for the aquarium), Sussex NJ, New Paltz NY (Mohonk Mtn house), Pt Pleasant NJ, Six Flags in NJ, Washington DC, Savannah GA, and finally back home.

Wish I was still on the road

After that trip it will be time for a new car, I don't feel so bad now for thinking of driving to the Keys. It is a very long 2 to 2 and half days of hard driving from here, bad part is we only have 9 days to do it in.

How was Six Flags? We have season passes to Six Flags over Texas, don't get to go as much as we used to but is still a nice weekend trip. It only takes about 5 hrs to get there, it is that coming home part that sucks, that and finding someone to watch our "zoo" while we are gone.

You didnt like the Baltimore Aquarium?!?!?!? They have 2 killer reef tanks. plus that huge shark and ray pool. Was it because of the crowds?

Hi ScottC. That's quite a trek!

I was just at Six Flags NJ about a week ago. The new coaster Nitro was awesome.

Did you check out the aquarium while you were in Pt. Pleasant? It's fairly small but they have some nice exhibits.
As a nation, you're faced with the choice of taking over the world or offering good eats at reasonable prices.

I dunno...the aquarium in Baltimore was too dark and too crowded. I thought the aquariums in New Orleans and Tampa were much better.
I was impressed with the size of it and the diversity of species, but something still just turned me off.

I went to the aquarium at Jenkens Beach in Pt Pleasant years ago!! I didn't have the time to stop in this time around. All I remember of it was a huge shark tank, but then again, I was like 12, so everything was huge then.

Nitro was probably the best coaster I've ever been on. I locked my legs in really tight and kept my arms up in the air the whole time.
I love the signs on the initial climb towards the top of the coaster with the heights of various landmarks posted that the coaster is passing above.. Arc de Triomphe, Tower of London, etc. Hell of a ride!!
