Time to Name the White House Thanksgiving Turkeys

I looked all over the White House website and I can't for the life of me find the contest to name the 2008 Thanksgiving turkeys. We have to name the turkeys before President Bush can pardon them, as opposed to the turkeys he will pardon the morning of January 20th, who have to be convicted first before they can be pardoned.

I hope the President isn't pulling a Katrina and ignoring this important responsibility. How can he pardon the turkeys if he doesn't know their names?

Last year, May and Flower just barely beat out Wish and Bone. Wing and Prayer came in a close third. For some reason or other, my suggestion last year of Inept and Incompetent didn't make the list.

With only two weeks left before Thanksgiving, I think we should all email the White House with name suggestions for the 2008 Thanksgiving turkeys.

Here are my recommendations: Goodbye and Good Riddance.
