    Arrow Guess who's due tomorrow.

    Give up?

It's Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin's teenage daughter. She's expecting a boy and he's due tomorrow. That's nice. No name has been chosen yet for the baby. I wonder if he will be named after a body of water like his mother?

Bristol's teenage baby-daddy, Levi Johnston, a recent high-school dropout, is no doubt relieved that his mother will be able to attend the birth of her grandson. She's out on bail after being booked yesterday with 6 felony counts relating to drugs.

Sort of gives a whole new perspective to Sarah Palin's campaign to keep kids in school and to prevent drug abuse, to say nothing of her abstinence-only sex education program.

I still don't understand why Bristol and Levi didn't get married before the birth of the baby. I guess that's just the old fashioned way.

It's hard keeping up with today's ever-changing Republican Family Values.

Speaking of six felony counts... That dude looks exactly like Rasputin.

    Irony Meter just pegged...then broke.

Might I add this wouldn't have happened if the Palin Prayer Warriors Witchhunter Treehouse wasn't forced to collect on their fire insurance policy...

Might I also bloviate that Bristol's mom in law was the only person in the sweep who had NOT ONE detail of their drug bust reported.
    Must be nice.

    Re: Guess who's due tomorrow.

Sarah Palin is palling around with drug dealers:
Johnston was arrested on six felony counts: second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance - generally manufacturing or delivering drugs - as well as fourth-degree misconduct involving controlled substances, or possession.
The drug is the same drug that got comedian Rush Limbaugh in trouble, except that Rush wasn't charged with "manufacturing or delivering," just possession of illegal quantities and doctor shopping. Maybe Sherry Johnston was one of his suppliers?

Haha! "Coffee" is the code word Levi's mom used for OxyContin in her text messages:
An affidavit filed Monday says Sherry L. Johnston sent text messages referring to "coffee" as a code for the drug OxyContin.
The cops intercepted a shipment of 179 OxyContin pills back in September. They then busted a couple of her customers and had one of them agree to wear a wire and a concealed camera.

For the first 'buy,' the 'cooperating witness' was given $800, with which he purchased ten 80mg OxyContin pills. Holy Cow! $80 a pill! Good grief, Charlie Brown!!!

That first encounter (Oct. 11) was not recorded. The second 'buy' (Oct. 12) for the exact same amount was recorded and filmed with the concealed cam on the CW. The third encounter, in a Target parking lot, was recorded, filmed by the cam on the CW and videotaped by the cops in the parking lot.

According to a deputy assigned to the investigation, they waited until after the election to complete their investigation and ask for a search warrant. They could have busted her before the election because they intercepted the 179 OxyContin pills the second week in September and they began intercepting her text messages in October, after they had already flipped two of her customers. The Oct. 12th 'buy' was recorded and filmed by the hidden cam on the CW. The cops then decided to delay their investigation until after the election. The third 'buy,' the one that was recorded and filmed by a hidden cam on the CW and videotaped by the cops in the Target parking lot took place on Nov. 26.

Johnston was home at the time the search warrant was executed and she admitted to the deputies that she was in fact selling OxyContin. I wonder if she realized when she got into that little home-based business that the penalty for conviction of trafficking in a Schedule II narcotic is "not more than 20 years for a first offense?"

P.S. -- If Levi Johnston is Bristol Palin's baby-daddy, then I guess that makes Sherry Johnston the baby-grandmother? It would have been a whole lot less confusing if they had just gotten married before the baby's birth. BTW, wasn't this baby due a week ago?

Here's Another Dot to Add to Your Collection
Teenagers who pledge to remain virgins until marriage are just as likely to have premarital sex as those who do not promise abstinence and are significantly less likely to use condoms and other forms of birth control when they do, according to a study being released today.
Nothing new there. Just another federally funded study that shows that the federal government's abstinence-only sex education program is a waste of time and money.

Sarah Palin could have told them that and they could have used the money for something else.

Have you noticed how the GOP's "family values" have changed lately? They adore Sarah Palin in spite of the fact that she eloped after getting herself knocked up. Her baby, Track, popped out less than eight months later -- seven months and three weeks to be exact. Speaking of babies, when is Bristol's kid going to pop out? The press said he was due to arrive on Dec. 20 but great-grandpa Chuck Heath said he was due Dec. 18. Give that girl a few tablespoons of castor oil.

Let's review Gov. Palin's "family values" record:
She promotes abstinence-only sex education yet she and her daughter, Bristol, both became pregnant before getting married. Apparently abstinence, unlike charity, does not begin at home.
She promotes keeping kids in school but she was unsuccessful in preventing her daughter's baby-daddy from dropping out of high school after his junior year.
She promotes "Just Say No to Drugs" but the mother of her daughter's baby-daddy is a drug dealer.
The Republican party adores Sarah Palin. She is the epitome of "family values" in their eyes. My, my, my, how times have changed. Can this be the same party that impeached a president for engaging in you-know-what in the Oval Office?

I guess so. After all, they just ran a presidential candidate who dumped his first wife and kids to take up with a wealthy beer heiress nearly half his age.

Hypocrisy in all its glory on display!

P.S. -- I almost forgot something. Is this the same party that keeps talking about "protecting" marriage? If they're so concerned about the "sanctity" of marriage, how come they're sending thousands of baby presents to a girl who's having a baby out of wedlock?

How come Sarah Palin hasn't put her shotgun to good use and seen to it that her first grandson isn't a bastard?

Maybe if Gov. Palin didn't allow her daughter to booze it up in public when she was only 16, she wouldn't have gotten pregnant? Bristol and Levi, Bristol and friend promoting something or other, Bristol and friend promoting underage drinking, Bristol and friend promoting Captain Morgan rum, Bristol boozing it up at home, Bristol boozing it up outdoors, Bristol and friend outdoors, Bristol boozing it up with friend, Bristol drinking beer this time, Levi's response to Sarah Palin's request that he marry Bristol before the GOP convention. In most of those photos Bristol was 16 but she may have been only 15 in a couple of them.

    Tripp

The baby was born Sunday, December 28, according to an exclusive story on People magazine's website. Even the Anchorage Daily News had to copy the story from People. I wonder if Entertainment Tonight bought the rights to the first at-home video interview with the new mother and baby-daddy? Great-grandpa Chuck Heath isn't talking. At all. Which is a switch for him. Probably part of the contract.

Full name: Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston

    Weight: 7 pounds, 4 ounces.

Grandma Sarah's first kid was named Track because of her love of track in high school. Her father was the track coach. Her second kid was named Bristol because Sarah and Todd have a fishing camp on Bristol Bay. Her other three children are Willow, Piper and Trig. You'll have to figure those out on your own. I already did the two easy ones.

This kid's name is Tripp because of what? A love for trippin' in high school? She was trippin' at the time??? Maybe it's just a family tradition that all boy's names must begin with Tr?

Levi's Mom's Arrest Boosted the Bidding for the Baby Pix

Apparently the baby pictures were only going to bring somewhere around $100,000 but the bidding suddenly jumped after Levi's mom was arrested on six felony drug charges.

People magazine won't say what they paid but industry insiders claim it was around the $300,000 mark.

I'll bet Levi is kicking himself right about now. He should have agreed to Sarah Palin's demands that he marry Bristol before the GOP convention. This money would have been community property, assuming he and Bristol decided to choose Alaska's optional community property status.

You're too young to have remembered the Liberty incident but I was 29 at the time and remember it well. It was completely covered up by the Johnson administration and the media at the time. There was, of course, a lot of public outcry but the word out of Washington and Tel Aviv was that it was a "tragic mistake." It was only years later that the truth came out.

I have mixed feelings about Israel. If they really wanted peace, they should have cut a deal 30 years ago. The fact that they have continued to build settlements in the lands they captured in the Six Day War proves that they have no intention of ever giving back those lands.

    Re: Guess who's due tomorrow.

    Speaking of Sarah Palin

She refuses to leave the limelight. She gave an interview the other day to some right-wing nutjob and then complained that her interview was being "taken out of context by the left-wing media." This is hilarious! She's complaining that clips of her interview were played on MSNBC's Countdown.

The clip in question, which I saw, was an entire exchange between her and the sympathetic interviewer. In particular, she was answering a question about how she felt she was treated by the media and she replied that if she had been the VP nominee on the "Democrat party" ticket, she would have been treated much better. What is wrong with Republicans? They can't pronounce 'nuclear' and they're too stupid to understand that "Democrat" is a noun, not an adjective. It's the "Democratic party," you dimwit creationist.

Anyway, Sarah "You Betcha" Palin dragged Caroline Kennedy's name into the discussion to illustrate her point that had she been on the "Democrat party's ticket," she would have been treated better by the biased media. Anyone with half a brain knows by now that the mainstream media have been very harsh in their treatment of Caroline Kennedy's quest for the appointment as U.S. Senator from New York to replace Hillary Clinton. Sarah Palin hasn't noticed that. Palin said that she will be watching closely how the media treat "Caoline Kennedy's candidacy." It's not actually a candidacy because she's not a candidate for election to any public office. Gov. Patterson will appoint someone to replace Hillary Clinton as the junior senator from New York. That person may or may not decide to run for election to the seat in the next general election.

Besides, Patterson may not appoint Kennedy. There is a good chance that he will appoint Mario Cuomo's kid, Andrew.

Anway, when asked by the right-wing interviewer why she thought the media would treat Kennedy better, Palin said that it was because she and Kennedy were from a different "class." She actually used the word "class" in the United States, not the U.K., the United States.

That's what I have never been able to understand about these Republican morons. They insisted during the presidential campaign that Barack Obama was an "elitist." That's truly amazing. Barack Obama, born of a white teenage mother and a black Kenyan father, raised mostly by his white middle-class maternal grandparents, who struggled to get the education that he has, is somehow an "elitist."

George W. Bush, born into a very wealthy aristocratic family is apparently not an elitist because he's a hick from Midland, Texas who mangles the English language. His father was CIA director, Ambassador to China, Vice President and President of the United States, his paternal grandfather was a United States senator, his paternal grandmother's father, George Herbert Walker, was a very wealthy St. Louis banker, but Bush is not an elitist. He's just "regular folks." The money that funded the Bush family's political fortunes came from Prescott Bush's wealthy father-in-law, George Herbert Walker. You might say that Prescott Bush married into money. John F. (for Forbes) Kerry was already a multi-millionaire from a very wealthy family when he married billionaire heiress Teresa Heinz (Ketchup) Kerry. Teresa's first husband, Sen. John Heinz (R-PA), died in a plane crash. Kerry's family has a chateau in Normandy, where he spent his summers as a child.

John McCain was not an elitist either. His father was a 4-star admiral, his paternal grandfather was a 4-star admiral, he was sent to a pricey ($36,000/year today) Episcopalean high school, and from there to the U.S. Naval Academy, where he would have been kicked out had it not been for his family connections. He managed to graduate 894th out of a class of 899. Considering how dumb McCain is, can you imagine the five guys who finished behind him? I wonder whatever happened to the guy who finished 899th? They didn't allow women in the military academies back then.

Oh, I almost forgot something. Just "regular folks" George Walker Bush, went to Andover, a very pricey prep school where he was the head cheer leader for the boys football team. From there he went to Yale, where he was admitted as a "legacy admission" in spite of his terrible grades in high school. He graduated Yale with a C- average. He later applied to the University of Texas Law School, where they somehow found the courage and integrity to reject his application for admission in spite of his father's position at the time. Harvard Business School did accept him. So much for Harvard.

So Sarah Palin thinks that Caroline Kennedy is being treated with kid gloves (she isn't!) because of "class." She thinks the media mistreated her because of her "class." She now claims that her comments were taken out of context even though the entire exchange was played and everything that was said came out of her mouth. And it's all on video tape.

Palin, who wanted hundreds of millions for a bridge to nowhere, is the same dimwit who complained about $211,000 being spent on fruit fly research in France. She didn't give the amount, but that's the amount. This particular little bitty research project happens to be about saving olive trees in California from fruit fly infestations. The California olive crop is worth $85 million a year, so $211,000 seems like a good investment. Some creationist crackpot probably wrote her speech for her and they probably figured it had to do with genetics and fruit fly DNA research, therfore it had to be the devil's work.

Speaking of people who have outlived their fifteen minutes, have you noticed that Pajamas Media (lunatic fringe blogsite) hired Joe the Plumber to go to the Gaza strip to report on the Israeli invasion of Gaza from a very, very pro-Israeli point of view? No doubt the Israelis might even let him in even though they have banned virtually all U.S. and European media as hostile.

    Re: Guess who's due tomorrow.

Something else Sarah Palin complained about was the media's "treatment" of her family. What? Can this be the same woman who made a big deal of her family at the GOP convention? Who mentions her family in virtually every speech she gives. Who passes her baby son Trig around on stage from family member to family member like some sort of stuffed plaything she won at the county fair? Even at rallies that run past midnight!

The same Sarah Palin who talked about her pregnant, unwed, teenage daughter at the Republican convention? Who talks about her teenage son enlisting in the Army and being sent to Iraq in absolutely every speech she gives?

This can't possibly be the same Sarah Palin whose unwed teenage daughter just sold the rights to her baby's pictures to People magazine for a reported $300,000, can it?

And is it elitist in this day and age to give your kid four names? Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston. And if she's such a big advocate for "protecting" marriage, how come her grandson was born a bastard? Would it have been too elitist to have the child's mother and her baby-daddy actually get married before the birth?

I can't keep up with changing Republican Family Values. I can understand how Sarah Palin might not get too upset about Bristol getting knocked up, seeing as how Sarah herself was knocked up when she and Todd eloped, but at least they did elope and were married a full seven months and three weeks before Track was born.

Levi has resigned from that electrician's apprentice program that Sarah got him into in spite of the fact that state law says you must have a high school diploma to qualify. Palin told the mean mainstream media that Levi intends to finish high school and that's the same as having a high school diploma. Levi decided to quit the program anyway. Besides, he and Bristol are sitting pretty now with the money from the baby pix. Next up they'll be calling Larry What's His Name (the gay photographer who fathered Anna Nicole Smith's baby) for pointers on how to get rich off your baby's first birthday, first steps walking, first words, etc. Larry's sitting very, very good right now.

P.S. -- Birkhead. Larry Birkhead. Or, as he's known now, "Rich" Larry Birkhead.
