Bill Gates can't afford me so I'm not pitching them, been using IE8 for about 3 weeks now on an older dell, not quite our age ;) but close, and I also run office 07 with xp, so I've got some ram hog programs running got 1 gig system ram including what has to be shared out for video, and I've had no issue other than a small short lived freeze on IE, just mho.

Ah, I think I will just stick with the version of Firefox I have now. I have both IE7 and the before mentioned there, so I can use both.

no problem, but still check out the adware by lavasoft, free program good thing to have.

45 mins, till the green flag drops, got 5 gentleman dollars on JR(the $5 doesn't really exist), but all takers are welcome, the programs I pointed you to are free, and I've had no issues, do a great job for what they are designed for. I have no complaints about either and have used them for the last couple of years.

I used to love Montana, till I hit the refresh button, come on NASCAR is the only remaing sport where we don't have hold outs for millions of dollars a year, and there are people up there that think cars is nascar, oh, how could my life get any worse

I am saying that IE is the QA/Compatibility benchmark for Web designers. Their web pages are tested for compatibility against IE for presentation, and that whatever “Active-X” Java applets, and other add-ons function correctly.

As far as importing favorites from IE, most Web browsers handle that pretty well. I imported my favorites from my work PC (IE7) to my iPhone (Safari for iPhone) and all of the (hundreds) of favorites imported just fine. Actually there are probably too many favorites to deal with on a smart phone…
