but I did think it (the news story) was a little mis-leading at first. Like it sounds like they found Man Made structures, but they really are just vents in the bottom of the ocean.

Pretty neat stuff, they are always finding junk they never knew existed on every dive in one of those subs. The deep water vents are certainly a niche habitat. That'd be a tough tank to replicate, a vent in the bottom of the tank spewing water at 300 deg F, along with H2S and whatever else comes spewing out of them, not to mention that all of this is done in total darkenss (not counting bioluminescence) Just rambling.
