final fantasy - holy sh$t!

Ok, first let me get something offa my chest about this movie. The story is stoooooooopid. I mean, we're talking the quality of a pokemon cartoon plot stupid. So, completely turn your brain off before you enter the theatre and warn anyone you go with to do the same.

BUT - GO SEE THIS MOVIE. Reason being is that it is the first movie in a long time to break ground like this visually. I haven't been wowed like this since I was oh, ten or so and saw my first Imperial Cruiser in Star Wars. Absolutely the most stunning computer animation I've ever seen, and it's worth the price of a ticket.

I just got back from picking my boys up from the theater. They said the movie was completely awesome.

The animation was great (although I think they still need a little work on the human motion).

The first two acts were good, but the ending was strickly right out of a Pokemon movie and didn't live up to the rest of the story.

Its like the producers couldn't decide if it wanted to be a kids movie or serious SciFi.

But it is a good first attempt and shows the potential of the format.

I just saw it, The first part was cool, I give it 2 thumbs up! The second part was definatly stolen from all of the worst anime films! They had to throw the "gaia" part in because it was a FF movie, and what would FF be without Gaia??
