CLAYTON - A former Gainesville mayor is facing charges of public indecency after he was arrested at a Rabun County campsite over the weekend.

Ranger Brandon Walls with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said authorities received complaints that 43-year-old Mark Musselwhite of Gainesville was walking nude on Earls Ford Road and around a campsite near the road.

Ranger Walls said he arrested Musselwhite when he became belligerent.

Reporters with Accessnorthga.com have left messages with Musselwhite seeking comment. No calls have been returned at this time.

I asked him why he did not have any clothes on and he said he was hot and had been in the creek.

At that point he wanted to know why we were there and what he was doing wrong.

I advised him that we had gotten complaints about a man walking around nude in the area.

Still nude, he told me that it was not him.

I said that the complaintant (sic) had specifically said his campsite, and the fact that he was still nude made me think it was him.
The "family values" Goppie moron was drunk as a skunk and eventually got himself cuffed and taken downtown after he pulled the "do you know who I am" card, which didn't go over all that well with the ranger.

Maybe he thought it was a "family values" nudist camp? After all, there were lots of children there, which is why the complaint was called in.

Maybe he thought Earls Ford Road was part of the Appalachian Trail?
