    Talking The most beautiful reef paintings I have ever seen.

    Christian Riese Lassen

    Look under "The Art - Exotic Cars/Bikes" The Lassen gallery here in San Antonio had the blue Ferrari on display for more than a year. It is awesome in person! This guy has real tallent.

    2 + 2 != 4

    Two is only loosely associated with two by a plus sign and therefore doesn't enter the equation at all since it is only there by mere complicity. We shouldn't count it and leave well enough alone.

    OK, I fixed the link.

    He does lots of reef art. The car is just an example. Most of his works are on canvas and HUGE.

    I just finished looking at the site and that is some really great stuff. I'd say if your looking for reef art you've found your artist. As for the car art I ecspecially liked the flaming viper, and the dolphin painted lamborghini, that was sweet.

    Perhaps not what you are looking at specifical just somthing id like to share that im doing. I am currently starting the set up of a 75 gallon art tank. What I am doing is making my own LR but instead of going for natural shapes i am sculpting them into various things. as of now I have it pictured as primarily a person from the shoulders up sinking or being buried into the sandbed, arms outstretched hands splayed wide, face tilted back looking up toward the lights, mouth open wide in pain, agony. Then after the sculpture is nice and covered in coralline, feather dusters etc. I will be attaching various corals to the sculpture. Somthing such as a large torch coral extending out of the open mouth. A field of xenia representing flowing hair or something to that sort. I dont know somthing i thought of a while back and wanted to share. The DIY LR is almost finished its freshwater curing. And soon the tank will be set up. I will eventually post some pics.

    He does all sorts of marine life, and some reef pieces as well.

    try:

    www.wylandgalleries.com

    I just tried the site, the server seems to be down. But he's a really incredible artist. He's the guy that did those whaling walls all over the world, you know painted the entire side of buildings with whale images, etc.

    have fun.

    I think it will be an interesting challenge. Just somthing a little different then the classis reef tank. I will try to get some pictures of the various sculptures that i have. My only concern is water quality, in order to make the rock the way i wanted to the rock is not very pourous. This tank will have a very low bioload probably only one or two fish max. I am not sure if i want to go for a sump system with more servicable LR or not.
