E Bay Pricing!!!

Hi All,

Been watching the E Bay auctions for equipment for this reef tank of mine -- I just can't get over the fact that people pay more than retail to buy stuff on an auction. I shop for pricing at a lot of web stores and local stores and I find people bidding for things at prices you could buy them at any day of the week. Even RIO pumps!!!

Maybe I need to sell some of those old 911 and 356 Porsche parts and tools for more than my original cost -- Hmmmm. Could buy me all the stuff I lust for.

REgards,
Don

You know I stopped looking on Ebay for stuff for that very same reason. that you 80% of the time could find the same item, for less or the same price MO or on the internet.

Has anyone ever really got a great deal on something they bought on Ebay?

I love ebay!

Get this. I sold a SeaClone skimmer on ebay for $30 more than I paid for it new from Pet Warehouse!

I almost felt guilty, but not quite. Caveat emptor.

Actually I won an auction for a dosing pump and got it for $35. The key is to snipe them at the last minute. I have gotten several good deals that way.

I've gotten lots of great deals on ebay.
2 good ways to do it:

1) Snipe it. If you have a fast enough connection
you can wait until the last few seconds to bid.
Otherwise try esnipe.com.

2)I've also found several GREAT deals on items that
were listed in the incorrect category. If you do global
searches you will be suprised what you can find.

However, eBay is basically a great place to sell and a
so-so place to buy. Too many people with too much cash
and too little sense.

Cheers,

Bubba
