Shark Week!

Just wanted all fellow shark lovers to know that shark week has begun!

If you didnt watch tonights show then you missed a big one! The first hour, Air Jaws was completely about the great whites that leap out of the water only at seal island, South Africa. These sharks were performing all types of leaps in order to catch acrobatic seals!

Hopefully they will rebroadcast this as it was an amazing show. Be sure to tune in every night at 9 on the discovery channel!!!!!!!!!!

Well, tonights show was excellant, it listed and described the top 10 most dangerous sharks. I only remember the top 3:
3. Tiger shark
2. Great White
1. Bull shark

Oh, heres a pic of one of the Great Whites around Seal Island, South Africa. They towed a piece of rubber shaped like a seal behind the boat and got some awesome pics.

I loved the seal episode it was great! It was really interesting how the white sharks used the depth of that certain area to strike and leap out of the air, frankly I think they are just showing off for the camera.

Then again when they showed the bloated sharks finish off the whale carcas in 48 hours, that was pretty amazing.

Did you hear that about the Bull Sharks??

They can live in FRESHWATER for up to 3 YEARS!! And that's not just the fry, it's ADULTS TOO!! Cripes!! Gators AND sharks down here in FL!!

I was just at the baltimore aquarium and they have these large, to scale shark sillouettes(sp) that are labeled. I had a hard time convincing people that an 8 foot bull shark is more dangerous then a 20 foot great white.
