GMC had the Syclone (So do I)
Chevy? Extreme??? C'mon now.

At least the Extreme's are real trucks.All the Syclone's were just an AWD car with a fiberglass 'truck' shell.
Quick little things, but hardly a truck. Having said that though, all the Extreme's are just body kits.;;

I saw a new 2002 Quad cab from Dodge today, 4 regular doors like the Ford crew cab. Its the best looking truck I have ever seen but motor sucks, 5.9, 245 hp and 11-15 mpg. Hec! the Chevy 5.4 gets 15-19 mpg and has 285 hp. I don't think you can beat a GM drive train.
The Ram drivetrains are to be updated in the '03 model year. The 5.9 is being replaced by the 5.7Hemi. I know the new motor is slated to make 350 ponies, but I am not sure of the gas mileage.

All I can say is that if you choose either Ford or Chevy you better have a good mechanic.
Here's a good one. His name is Sergio. He works for my In-laws.
